These are two big mobile GIANTS, your choice will really depend on your taste for mobiles, but personally the iPhone Xs will be better in regards to its monetary value.
You can sell it to buy the Galaxy s10 and still have change left .
Also try checking the specs and pics on google and place it against the other , try searching "iPhone Xs vs Samsung s10 plus .

Watch reviews on YouTube about comparison of the two phones. That should help.

iPhone will me better. iPhone is good in terms of resale. If u want to sell the iPhone in the next 3 years. People will price it well. BUT Brother SAMMY won’t pay u if u want to resell it in the future. Even if iPhone screen crack people will price it than Samsung

I sold my iPhone 7plus red 120k last month it has a little crack below the fingerprint and some traces of water damage at the back. The phone was released in 2016.

bro go for iPhone XS . Is a good device with strong battery . It doesn’t consume too much battery . It last for 9hrs 50min with heavy usage . LTE on for 24hrs and music at 100% charged also game are working smoothly on the device without hanging or slow while running

OS and UI - Depends on whether you like the freedom and customisable nature of android or you like the beauty and restricted nature of iOS
Camera - Both have good camera but S10+ has a wide angle lens and take better night photos, has a better stabilization and slow motion recording
Galaxy S10+ has a headphone jack and expandable storage, also it has double the storage space of the iPhone...
Cool features - S10+!! Has reverse wireless charging, has ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, front facing 4k camera, etc

Just say you want to go for the iPhone and stop wasting our time. If you are looking for performance, versatility and tech, go for the Samsung phone. If you want a phone you can resell for a good price after use, go for the iPhone.

Obviously S10+ has more ram than the Xs max but everything falls back to optimization iOS and Android run on different arm platforms
But one UI isn't the same Samsung experience UI or the one before it
I have used a friends Xs max it's pretty fast but from what am seeing online and the few minutes have spent with the s10e
The phone is really smooth and samsung puts more ram because the phone has more functions
For example Samsung dex , split screen , picture in picture mode which are not available on iOS but are very useful
Soo it's comes down to preference but to me and majority of what I see online the S10+ is the best period!!!!

Xs max uses a 7namoeter processor, same with Snapdragon 855 and Kirin 980 that Samsung and Huawei use...
