No one can convince me that the other 2 goalie are no way better than this guy who man the post today.

I don't wanna divulge into this much before some peeps will call me a tribalist.
I think the problem with most nigeria coaches still raises it's ugly head in manu's team.... you can tell their tribe or religion by simply looking at their team composition
anyway I am happy because he is doing well with the lad
Chairman, i don't know what you are talking about. It is easy for someone to sit in a place and be pointing fingers of quota system and tribalism.

There is no part of Nigeria today that football has not gotten to.

The general belief is that the core of our national teams should be made up of Southerners. But I can categorically tell you there is this recent wave of
Football development up North in the last 5-10 years especially in the last 5years. I am widely travelled in Nigeria so I know what I am talking about. Every Northern child now wants to be another Ahmed Musa.

Our youth teams recently have had good representation of Northerners and I personally do not have issues with that.

Where I always have issues with peeps here is having to feel their ethnic group is being marginalized and they will want to keep pushing the names of their brothers morning, afternoon and Night, everyday of the week. They want a 50:50 representation between their ethnic group and another ethnic group.

You do not know the weight of responsibility on these coaches. They need to deliver or face the music and so Quota system should be the last thing in their minds.

Manu Garba has again Succeeded in assembling for us a very talented team. All we need do is just support them and enjoy the goals scoring carnival wink

Now this is the issue:
Tanzania was the home team in the fixture so they had to wear their home Jersey which is Blue on Blue. And for Nigeria, our away Jersey is that dark Green Jersey. If we had won it, it would have blended with that of Tanzania. Meanwhile also our home Jersey is light green which still does not contrast much with the blue of Tanzania
And so the NFF had to quickly arrange for that white top they wore yesterday. You can even see the poor quality of the shirts

I personally have criticised this having different shades of green as both home and away jerseys.

Our home color is green and away should be plain white . Shekina. It will be easier to select jerseys that way.

That's not hard we then have an official Nike produced white jersey for situations like this

It's ok. Meaning we have 3 official jerseys. But they should also make the white jersey of same standards as the two shades of green jerseys.

Three reasons Chukwueze may not make the squad for AFCON:

1 Gernot Rohr is a conservative man-manager and prefers to give places to players he is familiar with. His conservative style even shows in the tactics he employs against opponents. He also stated earlier that opportunities for inclusion into the final Squad would only be given to players who have proven to be significantly better than those in the Squad. Is chukwueze clearly better than Moses Simon, Onyekuru, Ahmed Musa, Samuel kalu? Based on recent form yes...but can he maintain that form until the AFCON starts or will he fizzle out before the tournament?

2 It is a known fact that we have never won the U-20 tournament. The youth coaches may not want to sacrifice a gem like Chukwueze to the Senior Squad since his quality and experience playing in the La-Liga could prove indispensable to the team. I foresee them appealing to Rohr so that Chukweze would be made to play for the U-20 rather than the Senior Squad.

3 His inclusion would mean one of Ahmed Musa, Samuel kalu, Moses Simon or Onyekuru would be dropped from the team. This may cause negative tensions in the locker room which is not good for team spirit and cohesiveness. Rohr would want to avoid this.

Please note that I am not against Chukwueze featuring in the AFCON tournament but I doubt he will.
You have answered the question na. No bi Una dey talk say I get am before no be property? grin

Based on current form, Samu must be the first choice ahead of those players.

I saw Onyekuru played yesterday but he was not that fantastic. Maybe it was one of his bad games nevertheless, Samu must go AFCON.

Samu can play in the two tournaments.

U20 will be on from May 23 - June 15 while the AFCON will be held from June 21 to 19 July. grin

He can play in both tournaments. grin

Honestly. NFF should ask Nike to make standard white jerseys as standby in the case of what happened yesterday.

I had never like that idea of having green as both home and away jerseys.

To be frank, Amoo is among the best technically gifted lads and awesome left footers we have in that team at this level right now. So no dey look muscles my man. Look at the giftedness and obvious quality of the player. His left foot is awesome and his football brain is magnificent.

Someone is being lazy because even the word cup jersey should have been changed by now. It wouldn't take anything out of Nike to come up with designs but it seems we are content with the hype we got before the world cup.

one thing I noticed about that boy. ... he can't be easily dispossessed of the ball.... he has a good ball control and he is strong.

my only problem with Henry is just his weight and physicality.

you see Kalu, Chuks, Musa and moses Simon...these guys have the strength for Africa football.... especially against the likes of teams like Senegal, Cameroon and Ivory Coast....

He is improving everyday and I think he can work on his final decision. That's normal when he is disposed of the ball but whenever he is left with enough space, he can run down the defence and take quite shots.

Henry is good but I am still trying to study Rohr's body language to determine if he is in his plan.

I agree those 4 players are stronger and fit for African football.

Well, let us see what Rohr is planning.
