I tell you Africa football is more about physicality.
that guy will do well....I wish I can advise him to ignore epl clubs... dude need go Belgium or Spain or further development after the world cup
EPL top teams are not good for young African players except they gets work permit because they are likely to make the team in no distant time. Though I can still trust him with Liverpool and Arsenal coaches but it will be better he goes to France, Belgium or Ajax. Forget about Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany. Those ones will confine them in their academy before giving them chance in the main team.

Yes, both are needed no doubt. But Amoo is more brains than brawn even though he is nicely built.
No wahala. I will keep my eyes on the team.

Anyway you put it it is still discrimination. I don't care what the foreign pros have they should be allowed to represent their country in peace. Can you look one of those children in the face and tell them they can't play for their country because bla bla bla?

Why is Kelechi Nwakali bouncing around on loan if the U17 is the perfect market. I put it to you that he would be doing way better if he had just gone on trials. This proves that playing in the U17 is not the end all. After all Osimhen wouldn't have been on the u17 team if he had made the Lagos state team that year.
Actually the U17 is indicative of potential and possible future ability, that's all.

The number of boys who play at U17 level and in a few years they are no longer playing is considerably high. If you count those who after playing at National level and in top EPL clubs but within a few years are not even playing in league two but non league it us quite high.

That trend is still very high with our U17 players it's a not unique to Nigeria but maybe we higher fail rate consider the very high heights we attain at U17 level. Particularly as our progression at that level is never transferred to senior team.

I agree Spain is better than Portugal and England but you have to be very good to climb the ladder up to the la Liga.

England is better if a player gets work permit because you can still get a decent club in the EPL or championship willing to give you a chance.

You have just agreed that he has a bad PR in Nigeria. So how can we fix that? That’s the crux of the matter.
Once rumour start it's very difficult to get rid of unfounded and or true. People love to believe fake news. In reality what specifically has he purported to have said that's specifically SO BAD.

Tega can not even come out and say exactly what transpired between him, his Dad and Amaju. What we have is Amaju perception and version of what transpired.

However, what did Tega perceive and understand from that meeting. Add into the mix the other permutations of England putting immense pressure on him to play for the 3 Lions. Also his long term contract not concluded with Chelsea.

In effect we may have two completely different versions of what was perceived.

Tega will not and can not bring that discussion into the public domain. That will cause undue contention and bring him into dispute with Amaju, not a wise move he us the NFF president.

I remember when Odemwegie was messed up by West Bromwich on transfer night. The media story and what happened are TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS. But Odemwegie just kept quiet under the circumstances.

That's a fat lie. Vicmo played as a RW while Onyekuru played on the LW.

I watched the match and I saw both goals before i switched to Samu's game. Onyekuru and Vicmo were both anonymous in that game.

This is a very difficult question it's not so simplistic.

The first thing is to be true to yourself and know what your attributes are. However, attributes can change and be created with training and development.

The Belguim league is not a top league if we are to be honest. As a consequence it will be considerably easier to get opportunities for a younger player. Or one with limited ability.

The EPL is the most competitive the Spanish league the most technical.

I really could not say which is best for players from Nigeria without residence status in Europe.

But as you already know it's VERY DIFFICULT for young players to break into the EPL irrespective of nationality and colour. Quite a few who have had no opportunity in the EPL have gone to the Bundesliga and ripped it. Because it's difficult doesn't mean that Nigerians born players are being excluded and or discriminated against. However, if they did they will have to be EXCEPTIONAL.

Musa Muhammad started out as a center back, Chidi Nwakali was a right back. This was the positions both players played from the AFCON up till the 2nd match of the WC against Sweden.

After the game against Sweden where our defense was all over the place, Nwakali was especially very vulnerable at right back. Manu moved Musa to right back and Nwakali to DM. Aliyu Abubakar was brought in to play CB.

The team's defence looked a lot better after that.

This team might need similar reorganization. It is possible that the team does not even know the best keeper now since the obvious number 1 was booted out. I won't be surprised if similar reorganization takes place.

anyway I am happy because he is doing well with the lad
