” You can ask from those who watched our friendly games, he was so much off the pace, no where near the players who made the list. At a time other players were beginning to question why coach Manu Garba ‎didn’t drop him weeks after he resumed training.

” He should be grateful that he was allowed to train with the team until the final squad was named. From the U15 team where he failed to get games, Divine Nwachukwu who was top scorer for the team made the list. Will it be fair to drop Divine for him? You need to see how well Divine acquitted himself “,

This is from a backroom staff according to OGN. It matches with what i heard. Everyone can't be wrong.

The Tanzanian game wouldn't have been that close (no disrespect to them) if there was an actual keeper in the post angry angry angry . The team just skinned it with individual brilliance: The freekick from Ubani and the effort from Jabaar.

Actually the U17 is indicative of potential and possible future ability, that's all.

The number of boys who play at U17 level and in a few years they are no longer playing is considerably high. If you count those who after playing at National level and in top EPL clubs but within a few years are not even playing in league two but non league it us quite high.

That trend is still very high with our U17 players it's a not unique to Nigeria but maybe we higher fail rate consider the very high heights we attain at U17 level. Particularly as our progression at that level is never transferred to senior team.
I think we have had more in the past 2 sets than most big nations but that is because we have been selecting the best and leaving the rest to God.

Playing in the U17 WC does not mean a boy will make the right career decision right after. It does not guarantee the boy will continue working hard and maintain a professional lifestyle. Or if they will avoid injury. You just can never tell these things so the only thing we can do is select the best at that age group.

sorry you're the one that's been biased and sentimental when you insist that dominic was wrongly excluded by the wolves coach when you have not shown evidence to show that he was one of the best defenders within that time frame for some reason you keep sounding like his football agent other than an unbiased observer who is supposed to look at all sides of the argument
I have already gone into some depth about this.

I showed with references that Wolves was the subject of English FA investigation for breach of rules. With Super agent Mendes who has been controlling the club by proxy. And with his Manager Nuno.

It is well recorded that Wolves has more Portuguese league orgin players than Porto and Benfica.

Dominic was excluded from first team training after playing near 100 games for the club as soon as the Nuno arrived.

These are all established facts not presumptions.

You may query my facts based deduction but the facts are clearly indicative of the problem.

I am not his agent.

After watching about 75 minutes of the match.
I am surprised as to why guys are complaining about the keeper. All the goals scored were no fault of his.
The defenders tried. The goals of the Tanzanias were nobody's fault. A long range shot that came off the post . How many world class keepers could save that, then two absurd penalties and a goal from a cross.

What the fvck do you mean by the bolded? You're always touting yourself to be an embodiment of civility, a man who's never resorting to gutter language, but here you are latently spicing your comment with insults.

I hate hypocrisy!
I am not sure what you understand by the term " wires crossed " which is a very civil and polite way of saying you've made slight mistake. It seems this very common expression is totally lost on you and a few other who liked your comments.

I am not an English teacher and don't have the qualification to be one. But your response says a lot about you as person.

See the bitter jaundiced vitriolic response you have given. I presume a certain degree of basic education and understanding here, but it seems where you are concerned I was very wrong. Below taken from the Cambridge online dictionary.

When people get their wires crossed, they have a different understanding of the same situation

I don't wanna divulge into this much before some peeps will call me a tribalist.
I think the problem with most nigeria coaches still raises it's ugly head in manu's team.... you can tell their tribe or religion by simply looking at their team composition
anyway I am happy because he is doing well with the lad
I noticed the same but I decided to hold my peace pending the results of the African and/or World tournaments.

Their performance is what really matters at the end

Besides, that U15 side was just a crop of hurriedly selected U15 players. A lot of them may not make the cut at the next U17(2021) including Omidiji.

In as much as Vic Moses was excellent for us, it was a team effort at the end. Where do you put Sunday mba whose crucial goals in the quarter-final and final helped us win.

I don't want to believe any player is indispensable or bigger than the team. We can't go cap in hand begging every player that quits the team. Its bot good for our image and pride as a footballing nation. That's why I am also not keen on Tammy

Nice list but I'm not sure of Alampasu making that squad.

Anyway you put it it is still discrimination. I don't care what the foreign pros have they should be allowed to represent their country in peace. Can you look one of those children in the face and tell them they can't play for their country because bla bla bla?

Why is Kelechi Nwakali bouncing around on loan if the U17 is the perfect market. I put it to you that he would be doing way better if he had just gone on trials. This proves that playing in the U17 is not the end all. After all Osimhen wouldn't have been on the u17 team if he had made the Lagos state team that year.
It is not discrimination if we are using the opportunity to better the lives of kids that have none.

Using Nwakali as a point is actually flimsy because his life was changed by the U17 opportunity. No one is saying they will be World beaters but getting opportunities they never had.

A chance for education, exposure and Orientation.

You still look at them as different. If you look at all as brothers, where one has and the other does not, you will definitely allow the one with nothing to have a little. If not then the person denying the one with nothing has no conscience.

As for telling the foreign borns they can not play. If explained that it is used to give opportunities to those that do not have, they will understand.

Finito.

When you are doing developmental projects, you identify the gaps, those that do not have and address them first. You do not go taking the scarce resources and giving to those who already have.

The U17 is a very limited opportunity and giving it to those who have does not help us in developing our football.

His village people know their work. As in, how does ball deflect to you bum while running away from the ball. I could not help but laugh. Just kidding.

On a serious note, he should be saving the long range shot. The distance was far and the ball was not elevated.
