Player wey good good

Our players at Porto are not good enough

You think Porto is kasimpasa or bursaspor ?

Aboubakar did well for Porto and the Malian marega

Nwakali musa yahaya are crappy players

Awaziem is good ,but Porto defenders are better than him

Stop accusing Porto

The truth is bitter
And what makes you think our players aren't good enough for Porto?
How much chance have they been given with the first team self??
Awazeim went to Nantes on loan and performed well but how much chance was he given to fight for a shirt with the first team??
When Porto signed Nwakali on loan, they moved him straight to the youth team without giving him a chance with the senior team...I don't think that's fair...

the reason given was that he didn't measure up to mates in camp... You were probably the only one in the world that thought otherwise.
Or perhaps u thought that because he plays for Go ahead eagles and is heading to Ajax,he is better than the other boys in camp??
No! It's only the Nigerian officials and the gullible ones that wants to make the world believe he's not good enough. grin

I mean the world chasing after him are clueless. grin

The national teams are not charity organizations for helping underprivileged kids. It is for the best eligible kids for each age-group. The national team is not there to boost careers, it is to create the best team to achieve results.

If a kid born abroad represents us at under 17, there is a high chance that he will represent us at under 20 and senior level. We should not turn kids away when they are young and then start chasing them if they reach their potential.

Every Nigerian kid should be given an opportunity to compete. Inevitably, we will get most of the boys from home but the good foreign boys will also get in and add some value.

The responsibility to develop grassroots football lies with the clubs, the LMC, the nff and local, state and federal governments. If you have a solid system, European teams will go to Nigeria to pick boys. At best, the national team is a stop-gap measure that does little to boost local football.

Hamdi is not Nnamdi.. It is Hamdi, It means thanks in Arabic.. He is not new to the team.

I talked about some German boys, Aigbogun has been talking to earlier. Ekene is one of them.

The responsibility lies with the clubs. So if the clubs are not developing, what should we do? Fold arms and throw away the little opportunities we have? You all agree we have no good structure for development.

Other countries like Brazil, Argentina, England, Italy, Germany, France, Spain etc have good structures we do not. So we can not use the U17 for just winning competitions. The foreign borns still have gold mines to excel and can play their part in the near future. However, we still have the responsibility to help the little that we can and the U17 stands a good opportunity until we fix our system which is not getting fixed in the coming years.

Finito.

You have given ways they can get better but they do not have better knowledge. So the point does not add up. However, the foreign borns have limitless opportunities.

Keep the U17 level for grassroot development until we have a good structure in place. If not we are robbing kids off their opportunities to grow.

Finito
If you have a personal trainer and go overseas for camps and competitions how don't you have more knowledge? Coming to think of it is football knowledge now about the type of grass you play on? It seems you have been mistaking what football knowledge means.

that doesn't mean, the only time we can be sure is if first choice get injured for a whole season and the coach can trust him to be number one and not dip into the transfer market for a replacement

Just a suspicion.

I think the loss of momentum in development of a lot of young players in Porto has to do with Jorges Mendes as komekn complained about Iorfa and Wolves.

There is no way a talent like Awaziem should have been treated the way he was at Porto except some underhand dealings to push players under Jorges Mendes Gestifute agency. Nigerian players should avoid Porto like a plague. Same goes for Wolves. They are for Mendes players.
I have first hand experience.

4 years ago l took a British born Nigerian origin player to Portugal specifically Sporting Braga, Sporting Director then was Augostino.

Contract terms were agreed but they wanted to bring in thier own agent create a TPI. Then l looked at the ridiculous buy out causes, the pittance they pay U18 players. And a general attitude towards African players who are looked upon as desperate and willing to do and take anything.

During that period Sporting Lisbon got involved as well as Guimarense. All sorts of arrangements discussed. For them there was huge amounts of money to be made from a young teenage English striker who could easily be sold back to the EPL if packaged right and given a run of games in the first team.

It felt like l was in Nigeria they have no integrity l thought England was bad. But this was another level of bribery and corruption and sharp practices. The agents there are HIGHLY DUBIOUS.

One good thing it's the kind of place a typical Nigerian hustler will feel VERY WELCOME, you can bend rules make under table arrangements, etc.

I have since then decided never to have anything to do with Portuguese football. I may go and watch matches but never have any associate undertakings.

not until he invites more and achieve success with them...in the long run I still won't stop sayn how clueless he is.

he should invite that criotian/Bosnian kid and Deji and also invite the juventus and Atlanta kid also

Chinedu Ekene (Hoffeinheim)

I understand the bennett brothers will also join the team..

We could only have executed that AYC with those players because they were those available to us at that time of the season.

When you move as a player the permutations surrounding your move will determine your progress to a very large extent.

Are you going as a proven tested and outstanding performing established player, who is in demand.

Or are you going as youth potential who had done nothing achieved nothing and have nothing to underpin your assumed quality. That would describe Nwakali to a tee.

The next thing you have to look at is who is ahead of you are they established, are the the Manager's favourite, have they proven thier quality and are you CLEARLY UNQUESTIONABLY BETTER than themhuhhuh That's the question. The other issue is there a super agent in cohorts with the Manager that is giving certain players more opportunity to market them and make money. This probably reflects Awaziem add to that long term contract with transfer fee.

That's the Portuguese business model
