If top companies are hiring students from a certain university you can never turn around and call the school poor. All Nigerians in Europe didn't play U17 you cannot come up with a legitimate reason.

You keep talking about excess opportunities, let us look at England, with the massive number of Nigerians there how many have played in the EPL? Most this boys have to face racism and flat out discrimination like what was happening at Newcastle. Then for you to suggest that they also get discriminated at home would just be to much for a child. Remember that we are dealing with kids here and scars at that age can be very unforgivable

The national teams are not charity organizations for helping underprivileged kids. It is for the best eligible kids for each age-group. The national team is not there to boost careers, it is to create the best team to achieve results.

If a kid born abroad represents us at under 17, there is a high chance that he will represent us at under 20 and senior level. We should not turn kids away when they are young and then start chasing them if they reach their potential.

Every Nigerian kid should be given an opportunity to compete. Inevitably, we will get most of the boys from home but the good foreign boys will also get in and add some value.

The responsibility to develop grassroots football lies with the clubs, the LMC, the nff and local, state and federal governments. If you have a solid system, European teams will go to Nigeria to pick boys. At best, the national team is a stop-gap measure that does little to boost local football.

Ronaldo is blameless to me. If you want to blame anyone else is another matter. I personally believe that the racist incident did something to that team. There is a divide in their locker room.

The responsibility lies with the clubs. So if the clubs are not developing, what should we do? Fold arms and throw away the little opportunities we have? You all agree we have no good structure for development.

Other countries like Brazil, Argentina, England, Italy, Germany, France, Spain etc have good structures we do not. So we can not use the U17 for just winning competitions. The foreign borns still have gold mines to excel and can play their part in the near future. However, we still have the responsibility to help the little that we can and the U17 stands a good opportunity until we fix our system which is not getting fixed in the coming years.
