romeoprexx:My 50cent. If u convert 50percent of ur dom acct or u convert all to invest in Tbills ensure that ur upfront on TBills is converted back to dollars n saved in ur dom account until d maturity of d tbills. The idea is that the upfront being coverted back to dollars will stand as an hedge to d risk in exchange rate over d tbills until maturity. Bye n large at maturity if d exchange rate does not move against u then u gain but if otherwise f worse maybe that u will neither gain nor loose. It's a risk strategy. 4 Likes |

hustla: Just use simple Interest formula (I = P*R*T) =2600000*(10.29/100)*(91/365) = ₦66,701.75 =2600000*(12.6/100)*(182/365) = ₦163,351.23 =2600000*(12.85/100)*(364/365) = ₦333,184.66 3 Likes |

TotoNaRubber: You should only mention the external component of the debt which currently stands at $25bn. Annual debt service cost is under $2bn.(for external debts) Domestic debts are not a threat to exchange rate. So it's actually $2bn debt service vs $44bn reserves. The way you said $70bn debt with a $44bn reserves would paint a fairly inaccurate picture. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Debt Management Office (DMO), says the Federal Government will on April 24, issue a 30-year bond for the first time ever. The DMO said in a circular on its website on Wednesday in Abuja, that the N20 billion 30-year paper would mature in April 2049. The circular, however, did not indicate the interest rates for the new issues. She said that the bonds were considered, given the relatively low interest rates compared to 2017 levels of more than 18 percent: According to DMO, units of sale is N1,000 per unit, subject to a minimum subscription of N50 million and in multiples of N1,000 after. If you have 50M to lock down. Rate could be juicy. But remember to Tell your family members after subscription. Or better still write a Will 4 Likes 1 Share |
