Dglory:
Good day, all.

I need some advice here or will I say your opinion.
I am currently a youth corps member, serving with a media organisation in Abuja.

I Studied English, graduated with a 2-1.

But I don't really know what I can do after NYSC.
Though I like journalism a little, that's why I am serving in there.

But I really don't want to stay in journalism.
I want to write CIPM August diet.
I don't want to teach.

Please, I need your contributions of what I can do that I can do to allow me secure a good job soon after NYSC.

And which kind of job do you think will be of good benefits?

Please, don't really insult me. I am asking because I'm still finding it hard choosing a career

Dglory,

It will be a plus for you if you are able to sit for August diet. It will boost your CV while searching for HR job related. Choosing a career is a thing of choice and things you love doing. Journalism is great and Human resources is equally good but choose a career you are happy with and no matter how long or short, you will excel.

Hello @qurib4sunshine, you have no problem at all. I as well studied Adult Education in Unilag, did my M.Ed in Manpower Training and Development Education (an HR Spec) from the same institution, and I'm preparing to write CIPM PE I. Department of Adult Education in Unilag (I don't know about other schools), has HR related Masters specialisation. Good luck! wink

Hello house, Please I need advice from experienced professionals in the House. Thanks in advance.
I work as full time as a general practitioner, but my services are always been sought for, on consulting basis.
I experience difficulty charging for consulting. Please how do you charge for consulting? Is it based on the HR service you are rendering? Or on the duration of your service ?
Re: Human Resource Professionals: by westbuoy: 5:03pm On Jun 10, 2019
@finnie911 There is a particular formula used to generate your professional service charge for various HR projects . It’s a function of your time /hr, your monthly cost (bills ) etc . you can send me a DM for more on costing.
