I learnt this lesson the hard way. Then i lent my friend 35k to support him in the payment of his house rent. I asked him after one month guy how far? Nigga said I'm threatening him. Till tomorrow he is still owing me 10k

I can relate to this.
Borrowed some cash on behalf of a family member last year September because he had an emergency. The money was supposed to be paid back in October; fast forward to February, the money was yet to be paid and the person I borrowed the money from had an emergency too, so I had to use the money I got from selling my car and another one I got from another source to pay the original lender (even though her dad died despite everything)
Before I paid the money, I told the family member I got the money for that the fund I'm using to pay back was meant for me to replace the car I sold and he said it won't go beyond 1st week in March. Right now, he doesn't even call or text me and I still don't have a car. I went all out for him because he had borrowed in the past and paid back, there was nothing to indicate he would treat the last transaction like this. A transaction that was supposed to be closed out within 1 month is 7 months old now and counting, with no end I sight.
It is well.
Don't lend money out to anyone, unless it is an amount you are prepared to lose without complaining.
If the person pays back, Thank God. If he doesn't pay back, take it like that. Don't go about complaining.

Well, that makes him a lesser man than you.
Continue your life without the N10k.
Although if you want to be wicked, just be present in all his events, party church....etc. Let his just see you. Don't talk. Smile at him and talk to another person. Do this for the rest of his life. Before he dies, he will pay you that N10k.

Honestly op the blame is on you. Why give out money when you know it's your last card?

You give because you Love, NOT because you have enough.
If we're to give because we have enough, WE'LL NEVER GIVE.

A friend of mine once did that sh*t! He said he needed 15k and it very urgent. He said he will be paying back the next day. Gave him my Card to withdraw and he did and I was received debit alert. Since then till now (3 years) baba no even talk about it...lol

Funny a enough, I did not even asked him about the money. Months later, he came to me to lend him 1k, I just tell him I don't have.

Moral: Don't lend out the money you cannot dash out.
Your last statement is the code. If you want to assist, do that within your capacity.

Irrelevant. This is what happens when you want to victim blame so bad. Even if it's not his last card he has every right to be offended.
Only one person did wrong here. The friend who refused to pay back when he said he would. You ignored that and you're struggling to find a way to blame the victim.

I once borrowed a girl I met at nysc money some years ago and she promised to pay back after a week.
I gave her because she was head of the Pentecostal fellowship.
She didn't pay a dime till today. Almost five years.
She eventually blocked me.
Moral lesson : Na human being be winch!

2 years ago a nigga I hadn't heard from in almost 2 years calls me out of the blue asking for 20k urgently that he'll pay back by weekend. Giving me some bullshit story.

I just lol in my mind and told him i've got just 5k to spare he said I should send it which I did ( gave him for old times sakes). He promised to pay by weekend and i havent heard from him again till date.

Am I upset. Nope. I knew he was probably in a bind and needed cash but I would have preferred he just manned up and asked straight out. I also knew I wasnt getting the cash back that's why I dropped 5k instead of 20.

Well he was my guy back then so no ish.

Bro, that's the trick now. They payback the first time and never will the next time.
