Sometimes i kick my dogs if they mess up but i don't beat them

It doesn't make sense nao
Is better to flog a dog than to kick it, look at it this way, can you kick a Child for misbehaving? When you were a little kid, if you did somthing wrong, did Your Mother kick you? No! she didn't did she? she only floged you right? You See my Point? kicking is taking it to the extreme.

Yea flogging your dog sometimes is nice but not every time else the dog will develop low self extreme and also gets timid ones an outsider raises his/her in the dogs presense. You could use harsh tone, decide not to play with your dog. Dogs understand signs and psycological emotions.
Let an outsider try to raise his hands to any of my dogs and see if he does not get get butter and end up loosing an arm.

When i say kick you should know i don't kick my dogs like a football or something

Just a little kick in the ass or i raise my voice on them and it'll be fine

Comparing the training of a child and the training of a dog is not a balanced comparison because of just ONE FACTOR- Dogs generally live to please humans while humans generally live to please themselves.
This means that the child is trying to have his way or do whatever he feels like doing while a dog is busy listening to you and trying to understand your non-verbal language to ensure he doesn't offend you.
When I call my dog in a certain way, she knows she's doing something I don't like and she stops; same with her little son. I call his name in a certain tone and he stops. Yelling at her would be too much except when she's yelling at stranger- then she can't feel hurt by loud voice.
Sometimes, I look at her a certain way and she stops.

Dogs are very emotional creatures and so trying to cow them by force can lead to the breeding of a wild animal. By instinct, they would protect their territory and owner.

When dogs attack or kill non-intruders, it's 99% the owner's fault.

Thanks for this, someone who gets it.

OtyandTheFangs:
[b]An acclaimed dog trainer was invited to a house that had a very aggressive dog, a Rottweiler the dog was.
They asked him if he could tame the dog and make it less aggressive.
And he said "Of course, I surely can. It's not that hard"
So he took sticks, piled them up and used each on the dog. He changed sticks when the other broke and so it went, changing and using diff sticks to beat the hell out of the dog.
Till when the dog couldn't muster the strength to bark and cry.
"YES!" he thought he had tamed the monster.
So he came again the next day to see if the dog still proved stubborn and needed more whooping.
When the dog saw him, it didn't bark or growl at all, it just cawed its head.
The man feeling fly was bragging and waving his hands for gestures.
One of his hands was only few inches from the gnashing teeths of the dog when the dog grabbed his arm and tore off skin like a piece of cloth
He's still in a hospital I guess

Another person who clearly gets the point.

You and falcon01 are the only people that made sense on this thread. Others don't know what they are saying.

Beating a dog when he pees or poos whereever would only teach the dog not to do it in the owners presence.

There are training you can give a dog to teach it where to go potty. The owner is simply ignorant and not willing to learn how to potty train a dog. What an idiot.
I'll like to have a dog someday, hence my interest in this thread.

Most times, people just spew trash at others without giving a reasonable explanation themselves .

You condemned others for making their opinion public without you giving a specific counter reason or method you know is better.

What's "there's are training you can give a dog to teach it where to potty "?? That's lethargic at best. Be specific. What are the rudiments of the training ?

Or would one have to pay you for that?

I don't know who you are, so I don't owe you any explanation. And yes, people do dog training for a living, so there is nothing wrong in asking for payment to help you train your dog.
