Lmao...You have some questionable behavior. How can you single out Tijani and Jabaar alone?? So far, Tijani has not outperformed Ubani and Jabaar was just playing his first game. At least, with this U17 set up you can be satisfied.....if you know, you know grin

I should be asking you, how can you single out Ubani?

If Ubani has out performed Tijani and Jabaar, he should have been rewarded with the man of the match award.

Like I said, I am still looking at the team. Not yet satisfied.

Olusegun Olakunle is an example of why our clubs should invest in youth football.
I hope that with time other clubs see the benefit of properly investing in youth football. I know it costs money and we have to fix other stuff as well but I believe that we can always start from somewhere.

there was no way the coach gonna include him. ...more so, he won't get a cut from his contract signing.
don't be surprised if the coach have been promised certain percentage cuts from players signing abroad...

I no longer trust nigeria coaches at all

How many players in the past have been "Manu Quota system"?

The man has always found talents from across the country and they deserved to be there.
very funny what he meant by that, so because he's from a certain part of the country if he sees a good player from there he should drop him so he won't be accused of quota system abi

So you were pick pocketed in London. Well that's not too bad for a big city like London. I guess you cannot be complacent you must " shine your eye"

If its any comfort, my older brother was mugged at gun point in London at a cash machine. He initially, "as a made in Warri Guy" first head but the first guy, colobee the second before they now put gun for him head. So he had to form ice water. They then took his card got his pin and put it into a hand held card reader bypassed security and emptied both current and savings account of tens of thousands ££.

So consider yourself lucky.

Finally the fans in Egypt are known for unrestricted crazy football violence.

This is what happened. In 2002, I remember the year because I lived in Tottenham then, me and my guy a bini boy went to Wood Green just on a casual Saturday lunch time kind waka. We were young then. You we got stopped by some guys who asked if we wanted to buy a brand new laptop that they needed to sell it to get money to go back home to Leeds.

I didn't need a laptop but my guy said yea he was interested. So we sat in their car and checked the thing properly, tested it and everything. When we finished testing they put the laptop back in the laptop bag whilst we negotiated.

As we were about concluding the transaction a traffic warden was coming to either tell them off or gave them a ticket as they were parked on a double yellow.

So us being eager to leave the scene with our purchase, got out the car and grabbed the bag as we passed the money to them. O boy as I felt the bag I knew instantly there was nothing inside! I screamed to my friend to drag the money from the guys hand , he tried but they sped off! We were left with a brand new laptop bag with two bottles of water inside.

Na so e take happen o. Even guy men dey fall sometimes.

As for the Florence one this guy picked my wifes pocket straight up. But she realised he had come too close to her and checked her pocket and realised her purse was gone! I asked if she was sure who it was and she pointed out the guy and said 100% sure so I block the guy and didn't let him leave until he returned it.

If not we for die there that day. I was ready.

Senegal and Morocco federations have lodged complaints to CAF over alleged aged cheating by Guinea and Cameroon under-17 national teams in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania. Senegal in particular seem to have solid evidence of two alleged overage Guinean players.

MRI is indicative and not conclusive we have had this debate several times.

However it is still the best tool currently available to limit age cheating in African football. Particularly in the absence of automatic birth data capture.

MRI means they are close to 17. It does not mean they can not be 18 or 19.

If other teams have evidence that a player is 18 instead of 16 or 17. That is enough to sanction a team.

The young man has got eyes for goals even as a midfielder, I hope one day he finds his way out of Norway.

Brendan Rodgers hails ‘very impressive’ Leicester star - ‘He covers the ground so fast’

BRENDAN RODGERS says Wilfred Ndidi is the sniffer dog operating in the shadows of Leicester's big name stars.

By Dave Armitage

06.04, 18 Apr 2019

While the likes of Jamie Vardy, Harry Maguire and James Maddison hog the headlines, Rodgers says Nigerian international Ndidi is a man he could build a team around.

The 22-year-old is starting to look a bargain at the £14m The Foxes forked out for him from Belgian outfit Genk.

Leicester's boss says while Ndidi's role role might go unnoticed by some, he's valued by those who play alongside him.

Rodgers said: “He's been very impressive. He covers the ground so fast. His anticipation is very good and he reads the game.

“He smells the danger, and then for Youri Tielemans and James and for other attacking midfield players, to have that type of player in there it’s very important.

“I always have that sort of player - a clear, controlling player in the game. Sometimes they’re a defensive type like him that can really press the game and play simple, or sometimes it’s a more creative player, a playmaker from behind.”

Rodgers adds: “He’s got so much talent. Looking at his numbers he’s up there with having played the most games this season, with Kasper Schmeichel.

“All we try to do is make it clear what his function is in the team. It’s a job that may seem a simple job but he does it so effectively.

He has to win the ball and give it, simple as that. I tell him he doesn’t need to be in the box shooting, that’s not his job.

“Just look after the other two boys in front of you, and just control the space in front of the centre-halves and he does that so, so well
.

“We’re trying to improve him in that position because you’re going to be on the ball a lot. You’ve got to serve it, serve it over 10 or 15 metres.”

Thoughts?? Do you agree with Rodgers view or should he be pushing Ndidi to improve other parts of his game?

The issue is a lot of people only watched yesterday's game and Drew a conclusion.

I watched all 90mins of all 3 group games. Firstly, contrary to what some have been saying Wisdom O
Ubani is a very deadly striker.
Akinwunmi Amoo is another very skill and deadly forward. And contrary to ur view Tijani has been excellent all tournament. And Jabaar to me is an upgrade from Olusegun who was sent to the bench because of his selfish plays especially against Angola.

By and large Manu needs to work on their finishing.

VAR will be used at the AFCON, but only from the quarter-finals onwards.
How I wish it could used throughout the tournament!!

I agree with Rodgers here on Ndidi mastering the defensive midfield role and becoming a specialist in shielding the defensive wall. That gives a platform for the creative players to shine and express themselves knowing they are covered behind. It also gives balance to the positioning of the defenders without them losing shape while defending.

Guus Hiddink said the same thing about Mikel’s importance to him while at Chelsea.

“He doesn’t lose many balls. I don’t expect and ask for decisive final passes, even though he can. “He played very well but also in previous games. He is the ideal player in my opinion to bring balance to the team."... Guus Hiddink on Mikel Obi.

This was something Onazi totally missed while in the team. He made the team lose shape with the amount of times he tried to shine in other perspectives instead of the midfield role.

Ndidi does the same thing. In fact he is way worse than Onazi in the keeping shape department when it comes to the SE. Go watch our last 2 matches, he was always in the oppositions box. Onazi always sat back I can only admit that his short passing let him down at times but saying he didn't keep shape is false.
