Please @ all the savvy elders, I have a daunting issue. I am the primary applicant for EE and we just recently got an ITA; however, the problem is that my wife's NOC was mistakenly filled as Admin assistant instead of Admin officer when we entered the pool. Please can I still change it or just go ahead with the assistant thingy?

Are you claiming points for her job? If no, move to history and correct it. All the best.

Please my elders here help a brother out...i just passed the ielts and am about to start the process. The issue is that am planning to get married to my girl, and she is in her final year in university, when I calculated my score it fell to 449 as against 471 in case I intend to apply as a single person. Do I apply as single so that when I get there I come and pick her or is there any way around it? I am open to ideas.... Please help me.

I will advise you start as single, before you get PPR, you can get married and include her in your application. That's the best option in my opinion.

Hi house,

Please a quick one
I’ve been refused a Canadian student visa and an American tourist visa in the past, hope it does not affect the EE PROCESS?

NB: I’ve also had a Dubai tourist visa, 2 UK visas (tourist and Tier 4) and a schengen visa in the past also does it help?

Thank you

No to all. People have gotten COPR with virgin passports and some with over five visa refusals have gotten COPR. Just be sincere in your application.

You can apply as a single, get married immediately after AOR and add your spouse to your application. But bear in mind that since your family composition will change, you must ensure you have enough proof of funds for a family of 2.

Apply as single. Add her to the application after the wedding (post AOR), scores won't be recalculated downwards if you do this.
Even 449 is a very good score to get ITA but you're not married yet. So if your want to apply as married from the get go, do a registry wedding and then add her to your application. You can leave your scores at 449 and wait on the pool for scores to come down - and they will - or she can write IELTS and add to the 449.
It's up to you

I also have question on behalf of my inlaw. He applied for express entry and been waiting for decision and possibly request for his passport. Its almost 10/11 months he has applied and his medical will be 1 year next week. Does any one here know what he should do.
About a month plus, they have requested him to send payslip, bankstatement and to update his background form

Omoolope2023:

What is your take on IELTS

Paper or computer based

Whch one is preferable.

My concern is hinged on my handwriting legibility.

I took the CBT in February 2019 and mehn it was a sweet experience compared to my paper based in 2012. I loved CBT because i didn't need to count my writing text, I am a fast typist so typing was a sweet relief not that my handwriting is not fine o! the listening was impeccably clear, reading was drag and drop for matching headings, mouse and keyboard were wireless, no crowd therefore sweet ambience even the invigilators were nice and smiling. My result was online in 7days therefore EOR was faster as well. I chose early morning speaking session and afternoon LRW session so my examiner was not tired and angry. I prefer CBT o!

Thanks guys for your prompt response, may God continue to bless you guys. I have really gained alot from your contributions. Another question is what if after marriage I do not want her to accompany me immediately because she's still in school, do I have to provide POF for 2 people? Secondly can you guys add me to a group for express entry. Thanks and a happy easter to u guys.

NanaF:

This has been discussed a lot, use the search bar for more info. I don’t know what factors have gone into the joint score of 449 but if you can get her to write ielts (if she hasn’t), then more points for you guys.

If you have considered all this and your joint score is still at 449. Then apply as a single applicant and get married after AOR. Your CRS will not be recalculated post AOR. Inform CIC via CSE after the marriage and you will be given 30 days to send additional documents (updated POF included.) Bear in mind that this might raise the need for an Interview later on in your application.

The same somebody believes any Tom, Dick and Harry fresh out of high school can be a customer service rep.

Pls I have some questions to ask. 1 is 6.5 equal to CLB 6 or 7. 2 Can some apply for Manitoba PNP with 6.5. Pls how can you help me with IELTS exam because am planning to write another one soon.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by joo2018: 12:05pm On Apr 21, 2019
My suggestion:

1. Get married since you are already committed.

2. Go as spouse accompanying. Spouse accompanying or unaccompanying you must provide POF for 2.

3. Wait with the 449 or let her do ielts. Your application will be simpler that way.

4. By the time you are through with ielts, eca, ita, aor, ppr wait, ppr and copr, she should be through with her degree since she is already in final year.

5. In case she is not through with her studies and/or she wants to serve, she can do a soft landing and come back to Nigeria to complete her studies/NYSC.

Bonne chance.
