You may find the following tips useful for your questions.

1. Regular visa application fee is 32710. If you choose to do the VIP application then you pay an extra 10k meaning you have to pay 42710. If you require the services of a courier company to deliver your passport when it is ready you pay an extra 3k.

2. Those guys are not thugs. They are hustlers trying to make ends meet. That's their office. That's what they do for a living. They are there to help you.
To answer your question, yes they can make hotel and flight reservations for you at a token. You can also choose to make the reservations for yourself if you know how to.

There are some shops very close to the vfs centre. You will find a lot of people doing photocopy and all there. Enter any of those shops and tell them what you want. Don't ask any of the guys standing on the road.

3. Yes you can make reservations on the day you are submitting but the reservations must carry the dates of your intended travel and return.

4. Once you get a visa to South Africa, you can visit any state of your choice within South Africa.

5. I cannot say for sure whether VIP application makes the visa processing faster but one thing that is certain is that it will save your time with a lot of comfort.

6. You need to make your application air tight. Go with all the nec
essary documents and make sure they are genuine. If you are sponsoring yourself make sure your statement of account is healthy. Write a decent self introductory letter and get a letter of introduction from your employer. Lastly, the God factor is important too.

Kind Regards.
The 3k courier service is if it is within Lagos. I paid 4.5k for courier outside Lagos...

Am sure there are.

Why do you ask maybe
I want to attend a film production school in SA, precisely Cape town but I am worried about the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in SA, is it really that bad? I am looking for a Nigerian studying / residing in SA (Cape town) to tell me what its like studying in SA and I would like to know about the attacks on Nigerians also.

I reside in the NC. Not cpt

But I can tell you the xenophobia has calmed down. Though general election is on the 8th of May. And during these period there is often tensions.

But dont worry you just have to play safe any part of cpt you wish to reside. And maybe try avoid staying in mainly coloured locations as is often rough.

That's the few I can say for now

Bless you

Hi wonderful e-community,
You guys are doing a great work here. thank you.
please I'm new on this thread. one of my uncle wants me to come over to South Africa recently and plans are underway. he's resident in Johannesburg to be precise
Also a pastor in south Africa wants to invite my pastor for a program in SA. he told because he heard I'm preparing to travel to SA. my pastor doesn't know how to go about it, please what are the process involved to start for him to come over to SA?
thanks for your response
Hello,

Your uncle should help out in this matter since he based in Joburg.

1)
Anyway, does your uncle want you to stay for long?if yes then go with a study visa or relative, voluntary etc...dont go with visiting. If the visit is for short then go with visitors visa.
Your uncle can send a letter of invitation plus his id or passport with his bank statements plus yours then visit any vfs in Nigerian apply...
You have to do your medical and police character.

2)
For your pastor, he should apply for visitors visa since hes going for a program but if he wishes to stay more than 3 Months he can make do of voluntary work visa. The Pastor in SA should invite him also to make things easy and simple.

You can do this on your own, dont use any agent. Any questions you want ask right here...there are millions of Nigerians living in SA on this forum and even SA citizen right here to help you.

If you have more questions ask pls.

What is wrong with advising you to read through the thread? People like you just like the easy way out and usually end up making mistakes and spending money unnecessarily. This thread is very rich with all the valuable information one needs to submit application successfully.Booking hotel and flight are very easy, if you read through the thread you will know how to go about them. Any serious individual should be willing to read through and learn.

My medical insurance is from January to December, 2019. However, I wont be entering South Africa until next month due to visa delay and some personal issues.

What can I do to extend my cover from the period of my arrival (May, 2019 to April 2020) or it is not possible?

John though am not able to answer your query

But please may I ask.

When were you supposed to resume school and when was ur visa issued.

Am asking these because on my sis school acceptance letter the school stated commencement date 25th February. Though due to some delays the application was submitted late on the 21 February.

Until now the visa is not out yet.

My worry and concern is if the 25th daye would impact the visa. (Undergraduate studies)

Please anyone who has idea to these your informed input would be appreciated

So does that mean the xenophobia can start at anytime? When you say play safe what exactly do you mean? Do they attack random Nigerians or is it targeted?

No is not like them targeting Nigerians randomly.

Just that crime can be high generally so being safe is always advisable both locals and foreign

common get lost and stop quoting me. You haven’t been of any help, so what are you on about? Are you pained that a human being addressed my concerns? Please look for the next person to pour your frustrations on. Leave this ‘kid’ alone.

As far as I am concerned you are the kid here

You once said my questions are boring, people I asked didn't complain

You know how to criticize someone what have you contributed to this thread ?

You sit down there and look for someone to pour out your anger on

I am disappointed in your attitude because everybody in this thread are matured with good attitude unlike you

Take it easy as life is easy

don’t mind him. He responded to my enquiries when he could have jump and pass.I ignored him and was thanking someone that was more helpful. I didn’t call his name in my response to the other person, yet he quoted me and was saying rubbish. He is more intelligent than every other person on the thread.

***No jobs in SA for foreigners even their citizens are unemployed.you might be lucky to get security jobs which offer low pay...by the time u pay monthly rent & food,u are waiting for next pay cheque.if u av money thou ,u can come & invest and start a small biz(fashion, saloon, trading) which I can tell u are all saturated already.my recommendation is to try another better country instead of coming to waste precious time here!its not worth it....
If u do critical skills or work permit no jobs here.... I will rather use that money to try other prosperous countries not SA.I no some people will do strong head and come,no wahala ....come and hustle ooo! If u can do non-legit hustle like yahoo or sell amala ...chance dey at ur own risk!
Not discouraging anybody thou....u can try ur luck!
