Don't be naive.

Odinary infinix phones have transistors that cut off power supply as soon as the battery is full preventing overcharging, is it now a Tesla car that will not have integrated contigencies for this eventuality??

This is most likely a sabotage/PR smear by a jealous competitor or even the Chinese government.

Don't outrule a technical fault or a minor maintenance error. Even brand new Boeing 737 Max8 has crashed several times from Software errors.

It can't overcharge; once it's fully charged, it becomes an open circuit thereby not putting pressure on the capacitor...it's a simple principle in all rechargeable devices
