No you need to grow up and be matured in reasoning. And that is the problem of the black man inability to think without prejudice. Ironsi was a military man and instituted a pure military formation and tactics which they employed to work for them. If you identify your problem, you can then have a solution. If India had lots of sectarian crisis after independence from the British that they called a truce, identified their differences and 3 separate nations were born from one almagamated entity- India;Pakistan & Bangladesh. Which territory is Boko Haram holding? Under the last administration, Boko Haram was at one time hiding 14 local governments, the size of Belgium. That time the commander in chief or any of his generals were afraid to step near Sambisa Forest.
What Boko Haram does is hit and run, they come in from chad or niger and attack towns and villages near the border, and then run back to where they come from, they don't attempt to hold territory.
Due to our depleted military strength and limited arms and ammunition, our soldiers cannot be placed in defensive formations around the whole northern border states. The strategy adopted by Buhari is to wait for an attack, and then ambush them when they attempt to retreat or encircle and isolate them before taking them out.

Keep on being deceived, can you state in all honesty that the government of the day has done enough of what is expected of it in combating insurgency?

Remember that security was a major cardinal agenda of buhari's administration and in it was encapsulated the promise of wiping insurgency out of the north east, how much have been done in that regard within the last four years? Has the security of Nigerians improved under this government, are we to talk of other security challenges that have been on the increase over the years?

Fact remains that buhari has not been sincerely in his approach of tackling security challenges in Nigeria and instead of presenting the the ugly situation as it is to Nigerians the government decided to tow the path of deception and unfounded propaganda,
Serious government don't run its affairs on propaganda and falsehood.

Yes, the government could do more to combat insurgency, but it is doing relatively fair under very difficult conditions. Boko Haram insurgency was far worse some 5 or 6 years ago, with Boko Haram holding 14 LGAs, carrying attacks right at the heart of Abuja a few meters from Aso Rock and Shekau making videos regularly. Now Boko Haram is restricted to Hit and run raids on border towns and villages.
The issue of insurgency in nigeria is a highly complex issue, it's got internal political, corruption, international and socio economic components. Insurgency under normal circumstances is very difficult to deal with, ie, Afghanistan, Kenya, Iraq, Syria, it is even more difficult in a borderless, corruption ridden country like Nigeria.
Our military has been decimated by the political class who are afraid of coups. The exact number of Nigerian troops is said to be less than 60,000 (from about almost 100,000 before 1999. The military had not been supplied with new modern equipments (despite tens of billions of dollars allocated to defense since 1999). Then there is the issue of corruption within the high military command. All former generals are billionaires in dollars. To solve the Boko Haram crisis would require a comprehensive plan by the political and military elite.
