I have only Bsc and a vocational certificate. Hubby has 2or more certificates in Engineering but has only worked in a religious organization as a clergy.
What are our chances?
Yeah you are eligible under the FSW. Even your hubby who works as a pastor is eligible under the FSW. Wish you all the best

Please let me re-ask my question in full:

Hi guys! Please I need to know if WES also requires one’s certificate along with the transcript. I only have the transcript for my MBA but I have not yet been issued a certificate and might not receive it till next year. How will this work? Thank you.

Good evening, I'm just a new graduate and I'm planning on moving to Canada for stay not masters but I want to ask what kind of job or handwork can I learn here before travelling that will give me a higher chance of getting a good pay there? I mean what skill can I learn here in Nigeria before traveling? Is it networking, plumbing, autodesk softwares?

I studied electrical engineering and I don't have any practical knowledge of the course
since you studied electrical eng, i want to infer that you have the basic knowledge of electricity. electricians are highly paid in Canada, if you have the zeal to be an electrician, you are good to go. there are different types of electrician depending on your preference commercial and residential electrician, powerline electrician, industrial electrician, substation electrician. However you need to be an apprentice for four years. your apprenticeship would be a paid one

IT’S PPR
indeed the Golden mail has landed. This Canada waka started in 2017 when hubby wrote ielts in December shortly before I had my first son. I wrote mine in March L7R8W6S7.5. Crs 380. A friend invited us to this group and we realized that the ultimate score for good crs is 8777 and the younger the applicant, the juicer . The responsibility fell on me to become the p.a. I had to brace up to tackle listening and writing. Fast forward to June 2018, second ielts attempt L8R8S7.5W6.5. Oh!!! I wept, we proceeded for remark and after about 8weeks of anxious waiting, it came out unchanged. Before I knew it, I took in again(chai, who send me msg na ) i started attending class in order to defeat writing. After the rigorous exercise, September came and I had the worst result ever L8.5R6.5W6S8, I was broken, discouraged and tired. Thank God for a supportive spouse who kept speaking positive words in my ears. Infact he proceeded to book 2 consecutive exams. Come October 13th I smashed L8R7.5S7.5W7 . We couldn’t ask for refund because the result came out a day before the next exam. I went in for the oct27 and I waved goodbye to ielts in style L8.5R8.5W7S7.5 . With a good ielts score+below 30+masters+3yrs work experience, crs 474. We dived into the pool in Nov and here is the timeline.
Ita Nov 15.
Aor Dec 20.
Biometrics Jan 30.
March 12, I Put to bed.
March 14 I raised cse for newborn. It wasn’t up to 24hrs, I got double ADR. They requested more info of the company I referenced, my pay slips( I had 7 days to submit this)The second adr was for my baby. I submitted the first adr. Tackled the second within 2weeks( baby’s passport, medical and payment and updated Pof) I submitted these documents on 31st March and my ppr landed on 4th April. Whoops!!!! This journey was indeed an emotional roller coaster but God came through for us. Our VO is Ottawa.
Congratulations to you and your family. I am a newbie here though i have been following silently. Recently aced my ielts so i am in pool awaiting ITA for the next draw.
Please i sent u a pm , i am interested in knowing how you went through with your medicals considering the impossibility of having an xray done while pregnant. Please can you throw more light on this.

Good morning seniors in the house. I have actually been a silent reader and i thank everyone for the wealth of information and experience shared here. I have gotten ITA since March and i hope to submit my application soonest.

I will like your inputs on my choosen NOC ASAP before i finally submit this thing. I work in a school and i picked NOC 2121 because i studied Microbiology.... Here is my job description

Collect plant and animal specimens in their natural environment and create a similar environment in the laboratory for easy study and identification by students

Help students to identify and study living organisms in the laboratory

Train students on the use of microscope in identifying microorganisms

Collect ecological and environmental samples to aid students learning and research in the laboratory

Conduct experiments on structures and functions of plant and animals tissues and organs

Prepare and administer practical examination foe science students

Prepare reports for easy referencing

Co-ordinate other scientist and trainee in the school on best approach to conducting practical sessions in-line with the national curriculum

Ensure compliance of staffs and students to general safety practice in the laboratory

Prepare students for practical biology exams in West African Examination Council (WAEC)

Has over 5 years experience in WAEC marking

Thank you.

In my opinion you are a biology teacher, what you studied doesn’t have to correlate with your work experience. We have all passed through the system and we know that science subjects such as biology, physics, chemistry involves practicals. Even though you eliminated all forms of class rooms in your JD, it’s not convincing enough that your job fits into the NOC you intend to use. That NOC code is for scientists, those working in research labs, those who conduct research, have publications and all (I may not be totally correct). I would advise you to choose the NOC code 4031 for secondary school teachers to avoid issues.

Hello everyone
feb7 aor AVO
In the 3 months payslips I submitted at aor I discovered that the net pay is at variance with what reflects in my account by about 3k Apparently my salary account officer just copied and pasted the same salary for the 3 months I submitted at aor
My worry now is if an adr is requested later there is likely to be a conflict of figures.
Do I get the corrected payslips and raise a cse?

I submitted payslips (Aug,sept, oct 2018) to support the proof of my employment history.
In the payslip my net pay is say 142 naira in all the 3 months collected, but in my bank account statement I have varying figures of 143 naira, 145 naira and 142 naira.
Although the bank statement showing proof of funds at AOR does not show the months in question, I am worried that when a famous 5 ADR is requested by accra my salary account statements for the months in question might not tally with the payslips I submitted initially. Trying to avoid misrepresentation

Do I raise a cse to submit the corrected payslips or wait for the ADR and correct it then?

I hope you understand now

It's a non-issue. But if it makes you feel better, then raise CSE and submit the corrected payslip. If I was in your place, I'll do nothing

Hello Nairaland fam. I'm new here but I need urgent assistance. I have read through the thread and I understand the steps to take but I am still confused about.
1. What to use as my NOC.I currently work as an account exective ( job duties: create contracts for new projects, handle invoicing, billing and collections. Prepare monthly reports for the dept and annual budget) . I previously worked as a customer service officer (2 years experience in total)
2. I'm getting married by Dec but the bobo seem not to be too keen on relocating unlike myself. So i have decided to do it on my own and add him later when he sees I have made progress. I used the cics site to check my csr and i had 407. That's quite low. I don't know how to boost this.
Please don't get bored with my story. Kindly help a sista.

I'm currently studying for IELTS and I intend to verify my result with Wes soon. With only bsc and 2 years experience do I stand a chance ?

Partner has MSC and 6 yrs work experience. No professional certificate. Is it better to drag him into it from the beginning . Anything to boost my points biko

Do I need to enrol for masters too

Your duties fit NOC 3413 which is ineligible (a NOC with skill level C) but you might want to look at NOC 3124 (physician assistants).
