Thanks DrLikita12 and Tbaba1234.

So it suffices to say that "the Nigerian Golden Eaglets are stunted" and not that "the Guinean boys are too big for U17". grin
cheesy cheesy grin
We do have a few tall boys and they are still growing so things may even out eventually.

The team has done the most important thing by qualifying. Recall Amuneke's 2005 U17 finished 4th at the CAF U17, losing 3-1 to Guinea in that 3rd place game. Yet they went ahead to win at the World stage. I so much believe in these 2019 Eaglets.
Wow! Have we beaten Guinea in any male competition in recent times (U17, U21, CHAN, Super Eagles etc)? I can't recall any result that has gone in our favor. Looks like they might be our bogey team angry

As an Arsenal fan, we shouldn't be in Top 4. It would be an affront to English football. Top 4 should only be reserved for the best.

No bro

They are praising rodrigo because he is white

How many offers has Thomas partey receive while at atletico ?

If Thomas partey his white ,him name go long wella ,you know what I mean

Has rodrigo done what Thomas partey has done for ATM ?

How many offers has Thomas partey received compared to rodrigo

I don't say what I don't know
U actually meant to say yes to my question judging from your response...

All coaches have their preference for players.. there are certain attributes some players posses that coaches like...Pep wants a replacement for Fernadinho and he feels Rodrigo is the right choice.. cool...

last season some Liverpool fans fell in love with Ndidi cus of his style..even urged Klopp to sign him..Klopp went ahead to sign Fabinho instead cus he preferred him...Klopp was also interested (even made a bid) on Moses Simon during the summer transfer windows until Gent rejected d bid...
All in all,it depends on what the player can offer...and Ndidi own case, he needs to work on his passing accuracy... I don't think many coaches prefer a DMF that can't pass d ball well...

U-17 coach on his team's chances of winning.

Q: You have qualified for the World Cup, is your aim in the competition to win the trophy?

''I think our first aim coming to Tanzania was to qualify for the World Cup and we have done that, so right now we getting to the semifinal, we have just one step to the final. So God's willing, we defeating Guinea and getting to the final, I think we are going to win the trophy.''

This is how a forward thinking coach should talk. White Onigbinde take note!.
How far na?
What did Manu brave words later result to?? grin

U people should better free Rohr....d man no send una at all. .

the last penalty taker should not have prayed...HE DID A RIGHT THING AT A WRONG TIME

We are OVERLY SUPERSTITIOUS,OVER-PRAYING...When tact and guile was needed..he resorted to religion
GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN HIM BRAIN TO PICK HIS SPOT AND BURY THE BALL...he failed GOD,he failed Nigerians, and himself. He will remember, forever , that last kick.

Abeg forget the long talk this is under 17 we are talking about. If a player can't make a mistake in peace at that level then we have serious problems.

Thousands of players have missed penalties without praying so what is your business with his prayer? Obviously he was one of the weaker takers and that was why he went near the end.

In 2013, Chdiebiere Nwakali took the most silly penalty, i have ever seen in my life in the final against Ivory Coast. That did not stop him from having a great WC.

In the past editions (2013 & 2015) we failed to win the African tournament, but we won both World Cups. I care less about this tournament. I expect Manu Garba to do the needed — to inject a team spirit mentality. Any player found guilty of selfish play should be axed.

TheGoodJoe:
Sad we lost but the better side clearly won. Although the Guineans did not need to be so physical on our players, they played the better football.

We came into the game late but still overall, our poor play is unacceptable.

We relied a lot on long balls when we were playing against players who were on better physical stature than us.

As we go back now, I hope Manu Garba and Ndukka Ugbade invite some of the players dropped and screen a fine team with the technical ability to keep the ball. I believe against a European side, the stamina and physical strength of our team will help us. But, in the long run, it won't due to deficiency in keeping the ball.

You wan blame prayer now. He could have still prayed and scored. Prayer is irrelevant.

Cameroon vs Angola also ended 0:0 and Cameroon won 4:3 on penalties.

Not much separating all 4 African Representatives.
I also noticed the high intensity from all the teams I watched. Even Tanzania played some wonderful football. Football has really developed in Africa. All countries now know that the way to remain on top in football is to take your cadet teams seriously.

Bros forget Emery dey frustrating. The guy get mid table mentality.
The guy insisted on bringing D Suarez despite Sven(our former chief scout) having reservations about him. All the guy wants is players like Banega, Nzonzi, etc.
He'll probably win europa league but he's not a long term option imo.
