Humility017:Since, their focus is to make money for their own pocket, how can they be serious to get talented players? You saw how Garba kept Fawaz and Stephen on the bench for those players that are not better than them. How are we sure the third goalkeeper and Adrian are not better than those on the pitch? They know but they are too greedy for personal gains. Imagine, Noah Okafor is scoring goals and given assists for a club like Basel but yet they have feigned ignorance. Na wa ooo. I also heard Tariq is good. |

ORIGIN OF " PENENKA " DID YOU KNOW? . The UEFA Euro 1976 final between Czechoslovakia & West Germany saw the first ever chipped penalty kick. Antonin Panenka chipped Sepp Maier to give the Czechs the title 5-3 on penalties. This penalty technique was named 'The Panenka' in his honor courtesy. Wilfred osagie @sportivation |

tbaba1234:it is so unfortunate....I can't vividly remember the last time you were in nigeria..but what I want to tell you is that Nigeria is gradually going down...corruption is increasing everyday.... honest folks are now endangered...even the police and the security agencies now openly collects bribes...coupled with extra judicial killings everywhere. with the way things are going everyone opportune to serve steal as much as they can.... the future generation may even have nothing to steal wit the way things are going. The anti-corruption body claim to recover bilious they can barely account for. it is so pathetic.... mind you our cadet team coaches will rarely play those under 17 foreign born players reason because they wanna market the local groomed.... with that they can fetch some cool cash from their signings...I used to think it was because they were not paid...but my thoughts betrayed me after Sanusi who was placed on a 5M monthly salary and other benefits took bribe.... greed is in the hearts of many Nigerians cc: forgiveness |

forgiveness:I tire brother.... if I was the under 20 coaches... God sees my heart... I will infuse the team with players I know deeply are truly less 20..... the likes of these foreign born players will litters my team and some genuine under 20 local groomed players...I don't care what people think. ... it pains me we gonna loose this guys because our officials are bribe centered... it is so pathetic |

Humility017:The bolded is the pure undiluted truth. Garba was blasted by one of the NFF officials for taking some players to the tournament. Let us see if Garba will give those foreign lad the chance to prove themselves in the last game. |

Humility017:Exactly! We don't need to stuck the team with overaged players just for personal gains. This is one of the reason all these foreign clubs are not interested in Nigerian players because they know they are grandpapas in kids clothing. It's just of recent they started looking our way because of the players that went through MRI test. I think those who have access to communicate with NFF officials should inform them about these foreign players. |

forgiveness:Bro... and sometimes this things does not show or get noticed quickly reason because talents abound and many a time talents have these coaches covered. a very sound coach can pick players/scout players from only the Southwest region in nigeria and still win the under 17 nations cup with them.... excluding the other 5 geopolitical zones. reason because nigerians have talents abound.... so this coaches can easily picked players they were bribed to include and no one will notice them some can even take bribe to field the team best players.... let me tell you... who could have thought that Salisu Yusuf would take bribe to play Gambo and Stanley Okoro in the last CHAN... without mincing words these guys were sure starters if we all are to make our fantasy first 11 from the players took for that tourney but the greed in these coaches will not rest. even to include messi in this team they will take bribe. so pathetic |

tbaba1234:Sir...in all honesty many of us here know the truth that you can hardly i repeat hardly find any under 20 player in the NPFL. we should stop deceiving ourselves in this country that league is littered with players above 20 years old. it saddens me when i see the cadet team coaches recruit players for the under 20 from the league not even from their reserve team....... this foreign born players right from tender age have been schooled in rudiments of the game and they truly carry their passport age.... since they are nigerians and they are good... i see nothing wrong to go for them and include some home groomed academy players to make a formidable team... we may not always win the under 20 world cup but trust me... we will be doing the super eagles a great service in the future |

Starboytwo:As long as selection is based on ability, it won't be a problem. One of the biggest challenges we face with under 20 is that cheating is rife. There is no MRI test like in under 17 that can reduce cheating. This particular under 20 team needs reinforcement. We saw them at the under 20 AFCON. |

BascoVanVeli:Adrian Akande. He is there. I have seen his highlights, very good player. Given the way, these guys miss chances, i am surprised that he was not tested. But then again, He does not need to be marketed since he is already in Chelsea. No money to be made there. |

These coaches gets cuts from players signings reason why they don't mind put their career future at risk just because of kick backs. so painful...you can't find an honest man in nigeria football |

BascoVanVeli:there is no serious accusation here... we should stop tolerating corruption in this country. ... it is so obvious...I think there lies no need to call for this young lad inclusion henceforth in our cadet teams.... because what's the essence of calling them raking them all from Europe only to come sit on the bench.... it happens with Lateef and it is happening now...don't be surprised if this young man (Adrian) voice out tomorrow.... |

Through a statement on their official website, Dutch Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen have announced that promising Nigerian midfielder Hamdi Akujobi has penned his first professional contract with the club. The Flying Eagles invitee has put pen to paper on a three-year contract that will keep him at The Super Frisians until the end of the 2021-2022 season. Commenting on the deal, Gerry Hamstra, technical manager of SC Heerenveen stated : ''We are pleased that today we have again been able to capture a player from the youth for the longer term. ''Hamdi has developed well this season. He is a talented player with a great deal of power, a good fit and with an eye for monitoring the balance in midfield.'' Born in Rotterdam, Akujoni has been included in Nigeria's provisional squad list for the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup which begins next month in Poland, and will travel to Germany this weekend to link up with his teammates. The 19-year-old lists Feyenoord and Spartaan '20 among his previous employers and will train with SC Heerenveen's first team during their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2019-2020 season. |

Transfer: Trabzonspor, Real Sociedad, others lead chase for John Ogu By Ayo Olu Ibidapo - April 26, 2019 Super Eagles midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu is on the radar of four top European clubs after he announced last week that he won’t be renewing his contract at Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva, AOIFootball.com can authoritatively confirm. The midfield Trojan, who becomes a free agent at the end of the season, will obviously not be shy of offers following his impressive outing for the Israeli league defending champions. A close source to the player revealed to AOIFootball.com that Turkish club, Trabzonspor are hoping to lure the 31-year-old to the club next season to form a partnership with fellow Nigerian Ogenyi Onazi as they prepare for life in the Europa League. They will, however, need to fend off stiff competition from fellow Turkish side Yeni Matalyaspor who are also interested in Ogu’s signature, with Spanish side Real Sociedad and German club Hamburg also making contact with the player’s agent. Ogu joined Be’er Sheva in 2014 from Portuguese club Academica Coimbra, going on to make over 160 appearances since then, winning 3 league titles and two cup titles in the process. |
