I left Plateau just days ago. To be honest, the scenery looks more picturistic than the real thing. The weather is great, I don't recall getting a single mosquitoe bite and even under the sun, one hardly sweat. However, the state still has a long way to go in terms of development. I think the fighting has finally taken it's toll as investors who should take advantage of what nature has to offer seem to have deserted the state. Plateau should be a typical case study on development being proportional to peace. Nightlife is totally absent because people are scared to leave their homes at 9pm.Some local governments are still under crufew as I type this. |

egojeny1:Not true . Kuru in Jos South is the highest point in the state which is the coldest . The fact that moutain mist drops to cover communities in Pankshin doesn't make it cooler . Kuru though not too mountaineous is the highest elevation of the state with 4200ft above sea level , but it proximity to the city centre ,makes people to think a scarce pulated Pankshin is cooler . The mist do cover homes in Kuru down to our border with Southern Kaduna which are in the Valley on way to Abuja |

Ooh dear! Good to know this. I actually thought it was Pankshin. Yea i ve experienced the very cold temperatures in Kuru, infact one hardly sees well there early in the morning during the harmattan period. One early morning i passed thru there on my way to kaduna onboard ABC transport, the driver was just crawling. He wasn't seeing well cos everywhere was fully covered with mist, it was like that till we passed the boundary and entered southern kaduna. |

Bestlily:Because the first picture shows a fulani woman. Fulani culture is not one of the indigenous cultures that make up Plateau. Plateau citizens see Hausa fulanis as trouble makers and thieves who came to settle in Jos from the far north and started laying claims to the city whereas it never belonged to them. Do you get now? |
