P.S...Brig Gen Tsiga was the first, and so far the only NYSC DG who was a corper (1981 set).

Good research work. But find out more.
Tsiga, Okore-Afia,Olawumi, and Kazuare were all ex-corps members.
Tsiga was though, the first DG to be an ex-corps member. And he also served as Military Assistant to Another DG of NYSC prior to his own appointment as DG.

I remember the message they sent on behalf of Kazaure when they kept postponing our service. I heard the word assiduously for the first time in that message.

Kazaure was also a corper. He served in Taraba state. That was why his first official visit as a D.G was at sibre in Jalingo Taraba state 2016batchA
