Bought mine in July 2018. The 2GB RAM variant. The battery still strong die.

Today while charging my phone with original (follow-come) Mi- quick charger, the phone started connecting and disconnecting continuously. When i checked the charger i notice a pungent (smelt burnt) oily liquid on its side!! The charger is always connected to my UPS for fear of power fluctuations... has anyone experienced this? This thing is not even up to 2months old and i still have my 3yrs old sony charger and almost 5yrs old HTC charger. Too bad they arent fast chargers.

Now i am in the lookout for original Quickcharger. Ordinary chargers takes ages to charge a phone with 5000mah battery.

So my sister took her note 7 to work this morning and it seems to be causing all kind of troubles, her colleagues are in awe of the phone and ready to hop on board the redmi train. The kind of prayers she showered on me for getting the phone for her ehn, I nor suppose pray this year again. cheesy cheesy

Try to call your line if it's switched off then, quickly block the line, if you have mi account activated on the phone, then log in to your account on the web and block the phone. As such they will not be able to use it. Sorry for the loss

That's more important, kindly call MTN costumer service from any other line or tell a friend to do it for you. But you need to give them your number. Cheers

Some models of xiaomi chargers may have issues.
Generally, you may observe that xiaomi phones are sensitive to heat/hot weather. They slow down charging speed and charge faster when cold.

Demand may likely dwarf supply just as it happened in the UK launch.

Yeah seems to be limited quantity on sale on Monday, maybe 100 units or so.
