Almost everyone on this thread has tweaked and rooted their Xiaomi phones. Why is that? Can't the phone operate well in it's Factory made mode?

Not everyone has rooted or tweaked. You can enjoy your device without tweaking or rooting

the major reasons I chose xiaomi is because of the huge development their phones support and the relative cost to performance ratio available. And I definitely will root and tweak my phone. That doesn't mean you should conclude that "almost everybody" does same. Its a wrong conclusion, in fact so you would know, those that tweak and root their phones are infinitesimal, very few, less than 20%. If you are buying, buy or wait till the price drops further, just be assured that you can enjoy the phone maximally without rooting it... No you won't enjoy maximally but you will enjoy it nonetheless

1. Setting - Mi Account - Mi Cloud - uncheck find devices

2. Setting - Mi Account - Sign out

3. Login to Mi cloud https://i.mi.com/ with your current account & password. Select your connected device then delete device

get Redmi 7 instead because Y3 n Redmi 7 share the same spec expect 32mp selfie camera(Y3) n 8mp (Redmi 7)
