If you don't pay for a hotel before leaving, where do you plan to stay while in the republic? I'm just curious. What difference does it make paying now or later

The major reason for asking the question is that am going with a friend and we want to get a room with two bed. I just want to know maybe its must to pay for the hotel room or not, because if I pay with my master card and the receipt is issue on my name, I don't know maybe is advisable for both of us to present the receipt to SA immigration officer as where we both want to stay. Please guys is it must to pay or not? If not we will just do separate booking and pay when we get there
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by ZubyDee: 7:40am On Apr 29, 2019
Please try and do separate booking, don’t allow the little money you’re trying to save make one of you get deported. I stay here and know how things goes here.

In my view, I don't think you need a separate booking. Just make two copies of the booking and the two of you should know exactly where you are going. The one with which booking was confirmed on his/her name may also write a letter for the other stating that you're staying together at so do and so place - just in case

I'm just thinking of this as a husband-wife case or siblings. I don't think you will have problems.

A big YES to that. Travel date was March 15 and visa came April 23. You can imagine!

Boss! Pls, what type of Visa did you applied for?
Because I couldn't imagine mine own visa was rejected on account of date passed and yours was granted.

I'm a bit confused now & I don't understand how this embassy people are even handling stuffs, because I don't know what my fate will be even if I re-apply again.... I hope they won't be saying: event passed again!

I think your passport should be available for collection. There might be error in the e-mail, don't dwell on it.

Thanks so much.i will like to know if you are located in cape town.
If yes i will appreciate if you can help with how much they will cost me and also if you can help with the booking esp the bus tour i already had that in mind

I am not in SA. As far as booking just go online to see how much city bus tour is. You can book online for that and Robben Island. Your Nigerian debit card should work for the purchases.

This vsf people keep sending me emails and text messages since I submitted on Thursday:

Your documents have been submitted to SA high commissions on...

Your visa application is under processing....

My mind keeps missing a beat each time I receive their email and text messages.

Let the visa just come abeg, and let it come quickly.

bro relax

The visa thing is not simple mathematics.

They are probably still checking other supporting documents on your application

Your financial institution might be slow in getting back to them regarding the authenticity of your bank statement. etc.

Wait patiently for another week.

Lol okay

Am worried sha

But emailing and calling them will not be a bad idea nah, or what do you think?

People they normally call for interview it only takes them 2 days to get their passport back but it seems mine is different.

Vfs aren't the one issuing visas tho

The South African embassy is the one issuing visas.
