Oga Urhobo should not be in that list. Any Yorobaoid tribe in the SS and those from benin should be removed anytime Biafran issue is being discussed, otherwise that Biafra would be sort of a mini nigeria which is bound to be another series of back stabbing because the people within do not see there selves as people from a common ancestry.

Biafra should only be open to those who tribe was part of the Aro Confederation, and I believe that is also what the people at the fore front Biafra is agitating for

And for those too young or too unread/uninformed to know what the Aro Confederacy i'll help.

The Aro Confederacy was the ONLY closest thing to a federal republic that existed in West Africa, A trading bloc constituted of Majorly Igboid, Ibibiod, and ijoid tribes that traded together, intermarried , and formed military alliances existing for almost 600 years until it was squashed by the british in their quest to take over the territory in the early 1900s. The old people of Aro had a writing called insidibi, most big business men and kings in the old Aro territory had to learn insidibi to guarantee that they were able to communicate/trade within the economic bloc. If not the invasion of the British, the Aro Confederacy would have morphed into a modern country on the bight of biafra. And it would be all up to us to imagine how powerful that country would have been.

Please understand that the if your tribe, whether or not it is in the SS, was not a part of the Aros, nobody is talking about your people when the issue of Biafra is being discussed. Ask your grand parents/uncles.
You're right. I only mentioned Urhobo because of their proximity to Anioma which in itself is a part of Igbo land.

I'm Igbo, and I wouldn't even mind a Biafra that consists of only Igbo land. It will be far better than the present Nigeria.

The first 2 paragraphs of what I wrote shows that Igbos don't actually need South South to build a great nation.

Rwanda is one of the fastest growing economies in Africa today. It's a shining light in Africa as at 2019. It is a landlocked country like South East Nigeria, has a landmass a little less than South East, and they don't have crude oil. Yet it has surpassed Nigeria in many indices of development at the moment.
I said this to let you understand that Igbo land can definitely do well as a country without South South.

I talked about treating the South South right because you insinuated that Igbos will marginalise them assuming they form part of Biafra. You deliberately forgot that I first mentioned a rotational presidency. What I meant is that assuming Igbos even try to Lord it over the South South, they will still be fair on them.
Call it father and son whatever, it doesn't matter. There are over 30-40 million Igbos in Nigeria. The most populous ethnic group in the South South (Ijaw) is less than 5 million. There is no other ethnic group in the SE/SS that has up to 20% of Igbo population. What it means is that at every point in time, there will be more Igbos in any sector than any other individual tribe in the South South.
South South isn't an ethnic group. We shouldnt forget that. For instance, there is very little in common between Efik and Urhobo, Annang and Itsekiri, Ibibio and Ijaw etc, yet they are all part of the South South.
How can you be talking about a fully igbo nation that is landlocked when you have us Opobo people, which insult be that one. The southern most igbo speaking clan is the Opobos, we are right on the ocean, And there is no way that there would be an Igboid Nation of everybody speaking some sort of Igbo and we opobo people will chose to join another country and become igbo minority for wetin na? so that they would do to us what the cameroonians are currently doing to the calabar who were annexed into cameroon? God forbid! And please note that I didnt say Opobo-nkoro-bonny. I simply said Opobo because bonny people and their king are playing oil politics and can twist their history because it's not very documented but for Opobos thanks to the numerous communication between our founder king jaja and the europeans nobody can come and tell us that we are from benin or sudan.

And to correct you, the total amount of Igboic or igboid speaking people put together stands at over 55million making it the single largest ethnic group in Africa. And imagine how this yoruba and hausas/fulani are using us to play okoso. It was the loss of the biafran war and oil politics that is still hurting us, but the younger generation is learning fast, thanks to internet you don't need to ask your father about who are, you can research it yourself, and at some point when all these wicked old bastards (who collected money from the so called "one nigerialist" and came and lied to their people about their origin and arm twisted their history to fit these wicked agendas) are gone, the igboid tribe will receive a new awakening.

Oga, maybe you don't understand but the word Niger-Delta is used to describe the tribes existing on the river formed after the river niger and river delta comes together. Igbos are one of those tribes. And to be frank many tribes who do not even reside around the Niger-delta confluence call theirselves nigerdeltans because of the wrong use of that word today in the SS. So bad that some people in northern edo state call theirselves nigerdeltans.

Bro., you see this Nation, nobody is "marginalising" anybody! We just have a bunch of useless, clueless, visionless, incompetent, selfish, nepotic leaders.

I was at the int'l airport in Lagos and was disappointed with what I saw. The place I consider a gateway to the nation wasn't good enough (thank God that the road through the airport had just been done). If not that some of these critical infrastructure (national assets) especially in Lagos are ones that we can't easily avoid, they would've gone moribund just like our refineries.
Now, take away Lagos (which in my opinion is actually overrated) and Abuja (and maybe Kaduna, because of Federal presence), tell me if the west and the north are faring better than the east.

Apart from a few skewed appointments which you refer to as "military installations; control of all military and paramilitary institutions" by PMB, in my opinion, the 'major' tribes in Nigeria share everything almost proportionately. If you doubt me, go to any Federal Ministry and see the people working there.

And as for the "disproportionate bite at the presidency cherry," you and I know that 'bite' isn't like it's done among siblings who couldn't conveniently share a piece of meat.
We run a democracy based on political parties. These elect their flag bearers who stand elections. And for year now, it's been the 'stronger' party (have not fielded any Igbo candidate) that wins.

I hate talking about tribal issues so I might not respond to any further comments.

I agree too. I am an igbo guy from opobo and I love and respect all my fellow people of the niger-delta tribes but in other for the world to take the agitation seriously and in other for it to materialize it should first be an only igboid issue for starters.

Afterwards only people of the Old Aro Confederation can be allowed in as we all have thesame forefathers. But for any of these tribes to be included there has to be a vote within the community and minimum 95% vote by all of the people within the community to join. Because for a country to be loved by it's people, the people within should first accept that they want to be part of that country, and that can only be done by voting - That is the civilised way of doing things.

I say this because the a lot of the other tribes of the niger-delta that are non igboic are either kind of for it or on the fense with biafra or against it or playing politics with it for their own agenda.

An Igboid Nation of over 55 million igboid speakers with a seaport at Opobo, oil in central and south igbo communities and overall igbo business working spirit (whether our other Aro brothers join or not) would be one that would be bound for greatness.

Core igboland has yet untapped oil, ikwerres/ogba's have oil right now that is being pumped at over 200,000 Barrels per day and nothing to show for it in ikwerre and ogbaland other than death and destruction.

Biafra should be an igboid affair for starters, after it's is achieved and working a lot of our "Aro Brothers" would definitely want in as they themselves can not tolerate/stand or survive in this forced nigerian contraption.

Now Lagos to Kano rail system is the single largest project by this administration. What is the use of the $2.5 billion new rail system from Abuja to Kaduna? What is in Kaduna? All the federal roads in the north; Kaduna-Abuja, Minna to Kaduna, Kano-Kaduna, Zaria to Katsina are all smooth. Lagos- Ibadan is far better than anything you can get in the SE. I can mention many federal institutions in only Ibadan and Kaduna...can you mention any federal institution in the entire SE other than CBN and military barracks...Kaduna has working dry port than Onitsha where you have more importers. Baro seaport in the north is almost completed. Onitsha port is being concessioned. The 3rd Niger bridge has been used for politics for 50 years...The SE are not wanted they should be allowed a referendum to deccide if the want to remain in this perpetual marginalization.

“ Sincerely speaking, the South-East has not had a fair-share since the civil war. Their marginalization is quite obvious. But if the policy of reconstruction, reintegration and reconciliation of Gen.Gowon and the late Gen. Murtala’s administrations had continued, the agitation by the few Igbo for Biafra state would have been a thing of the past.." Balarebe Musa

My brother i'm very sure that the nairaland trollers have succesfully trolled you into believing that their is a tribe called niger-delta and the igbos are begging the niger-delta tribe to become one. Noooo Oh! The Niger - Delta is a term used to describe the tribes that exist around the niger -delta river confluence of which includes igbos as one of them, Abia and imo states are also classified as Niger delta states. Even Obigbo which is currently where some of the fiercest fighters of Biafra live is in Rivers State, Are you planning on creating an igboland without them? A good amount of other people from other non-igbo niger delta tribes are quite sentimental to the biafran issue, and are hoping or dreaming or even working for it,

The states that are created in Nigeria where created without recourse to tribe, just a mad man sat in lagos and drew lines without thinking of the people within those lines, just like the europeans created these african countries.

If what you are saying is that the biafran issue should be an igboid issue first so that we all have some sort of clear single voice then I somewhat agree, And it's even very realistic, because the yorubas and hausas/fulanis will not think igbos are trying to take away all the oil from them and they may not resist that much. And also alot these international oil companies who believe they have invested too much in the certain parts of the niger delta would have no reason to sabotage such efforts on an international level as they stand to lose nothing.

A Biafra that is intially stricly igboid is very very realistic and can happen within 10 years if given the right push, because the propagators of "one nigeria" do not stand to lose too much in that regards. Let's think about that that.

My guy, it's easy for corruption to thrive when the politicians know that the citizenry is at each others gut. And the citizenry are at each others gut because most people do not believe in the country itself for starts, and genuinely believe that their people should not be within it in.

On a personal level I really want to see nigeria work but their are too many segregated selfish interests and mistrust and it's a much more impossible reality, which makes the sabotaging of anything done within nigeria very easy. May God help us all.

Exactly. Most of us from SS keep letting how SE Igbo brothers know that having a Biafra with minorities would be another Niggeria. We know this people, we live amongst them, we share states with them, we know them more than SE but SE igbos keep ignoring our warnings. Biafra should be Igboland and Igboland only. We have more than enough population to be a nation. We have more than enough intellect to run a nation. Even if that oil, we have than enough oil to run a nation. Oyigbo and Egbema has one of the largest oil production in River state then add Anambra, Imo and Abia and even done parts of Anioma to the mix. Then in Anioma, we have the largest gas reserve in Delta. I'm not sure but I was once told SE has the largest gas reserve in Nigeria plus coal is still a fuel source still being used by some and we have that in abundance. Let's not forget other minerals in both SE, Anioma and Rivers igbo.

With that being said I don't believe our people would depend on natural resources like Niggeria whatsoever. Personally I think Biafra should utilize human resources for growth which our people have in abundance. We have the Aba and Nnewi that can build anything. We should focus our attention on expanding that engineering mind of Nnewi people and exporting it keiser the business mind of Aba people. Then you have onitsha people with their market that's well known already... Expand that market and making it past a known market in Africa. Personally, I believe Biafra should mimick China to the T because we have what they did to grow. Until some of our people start thinking Igbos only and leave this minorities, the better for us. IPOB Biko listen to us...we share states with these people...We know them..Biafra should be Igbos only.

If u don't want that, highest is another snake dance and ya'll will vanish. If because of the oil u guys are claiming SS is ibo, u and Kanu are 2 idiots. Simple
They are not relocating. Their land will be mapped out as it is contagious with the main Igbos states, and you will have what is left to join which part you prefer. At least you can confirm that nothing works in the country you currently reside.
