tsmat: Abia, Imo and Anambra have some crude oil, which even though it's not very much, will provide more revenue to the 5 SE states than the share we get from the present FG. Also, take note that the largest natural gas reserve in Africa is in Imo. Let me remind you that in the next 20 years, most developed nations would have jettisoned petrol and diesel engine cars for electric cars. Crude oil will soon become nearly worthless. Biafra as a nation will thrive on technology and industrialization. Aba and Nnewi have a lot of industrial potentials that are being stifled by Nigeria. Moreover, there are many more Igbo men in diaspora that will be ready to come and invest in Igbo land (Biafra) if the nation is born. If South South are to be part of Biafra, there will definitely be rotational presidency between the various regions of Biafra. No matter how bad it is, Igbos will definitely treat South South better than the North treats all of us. Igbos have been co-existing with Efik, Ibibio, Annang, Ijaw, Urhobo etc people for hundreds of years even before Nigeria was born. 6 Likes |

I wonder when Yoruba's will start deporting or banning biafrans from coming to Yoruba's land...that what people with balls should have done instead ranting against Biafra and KANU... If yorubas don't give Bleep about Biafra, but give a Bleep about biafrans moving enmass to Yoruba's land, then I expect the ballless Yoruba's chase biafrans away from Yoruba land 8 Likes 1 Share |

One thing we blacks don't understand is that democracy doesn't work when there's no cultural homogeneity. It will always lead to a drag of power and demographic take overs. The idea of a cohesive economically developed peaceful prosperous Nigeria is nice , but I just don't see it working because of those brainless leaders. 4 Likes |

Problems with Biafra 1.Food Most of the food eaten in Biafra comes from.....the North. In the event of a Biafra, food costs are going to rise. A hard border means that any food coming from the North is going to have the added cost of import duties...which means high prices. Assuming SS joins Biafra...importing food wth oil dollars could help alleviate the problem. The issue is, food imports =loss of foreign exchange =problems with maintaining the value of the Biafra pound.= inflation= higher food prices. 2.Taxes. Once biafra is declared....all Biafran traders are going to be taxed as foreigners in the rest of Nigeria. The taxes would make life difficult for Igbos used to just doing business freely . At the end of the day, either Biafra signs a dual-citizenship law....or many Igbos are going to carry Nigerian passport to stay 3.Oil This one is a serious issue. Igbos like to talk about how Hausas are parasitic, and Hausas are parasitic. I could write an article about that. BUT...Igbos too are also parasitic...as are all the tribes of Nigeria. Be honest, Igbos, if SS refuses to join Biafra.(I am from the SS by the way...and from the way leaders like Wike are talking...SS won't join Biafra).....would Biafra survive? How much oil is produced in Igboland, and Igbo speaking areas of the SS in Rivers, Anioma, etc....compared to the rest? Because....if SS does not join Igboland....that leaves a landlocked nation....which would have to pipe oil to Port and to Bonny for sale. That means, sports fans....TRANSIT FEES....MORE DOLLARS LOST. Plus... 4.RESOURCE CONTROL Biafra....how will resource control work in the new Biafra. ?? Because I have not heard any answer from Mazi Kanu, and Mazi Uwazurike about that. At least, Nigeria, evil as it is, has offered SS 13% derivation, enforced by a Supreme court directive in 2003 that Obasanjo reluctantly followed.....but Biafra? Are you going to offer 50%, 100% resulrce control? Until you adress resource control....no Niger Delta leader is going to follow you. Or tell me, why would Wike, despite all that the APC guys have done to him, still profess one Nigeria.? Why are all the ND millitants pro-Nigeria? 5.Corruption Many Igbos like to call themsevles the 'developers of Lagos'....and let's be frank, I cannot imagine any Nigerian town from Sokoto to Lagos without Igbos...it would be like tea without sugar or milk. But what is Biafra's answer to corruption? Many Igbo states have issues with corruption. And no one is talking about that...instead we are talking about Ganduje in Kano and Fayose in Ekiti?? That is how corruption would destroy Biafra from within. 6.TRIBALISM Anytime anyone expresses dissent from the Biafran party line...he is a sabo, an 'efulefu'. Yes, some serious anti-Igbo bigots are here on this thread and elsewhere... But someone says SS is not part of biafra. Instead of asking why, and addressing the man's fears....you Biafrans shout at him. Remember why Biafra fell the first time? A big part was because Igbos treated minorites as dirt. Yes, dirt. As a result...many minorites ended uip backing Nigeria. Good example...Issac Boro. BORO had no buisness backing Nigeria...but thanks to anti-Ijaw bigotry exhibited by Ibos....Boro went and became a Nigerian soldier, and died in active service for Nigeria. All because people were calling his people sabo. Same for many minority tribes. If Nnamdi Kanu wants Biafra, he better start addressing some issues, fast. Or else he would still be shouting 'No lefelendum, no election' till 2098, while Nigeria grows stronger, and absorbs Cameroon and Niger, and Benin and part of Mali. Now, you are free to insult me, to cancel this my writeup, etc. Good. I don't support Biafra...I am even pro Nigeria...and pro United States of Africa...subsaharan Africa (North Africa can go and join the Arab Union...not that I don't mind them joining us too! ).... But...consider this some advice from your enemy. Because...that is how Scotland lost their referendum when their independence movement leaders could not answer crucial questions about funding the new country, and so on... 3 Likes 1 Share |

Apart from Anioma, we still have a lot of SS tribes supporting Biafra. Please stop tailing with that misguided and misleading submission. 6 Likes |
