Although , the first option best suit her condition, the other option is cool as it will minimize any complication post-abortion. Being emotionally and psychologically fit is relative . Being raped alone is psychologically traumatic, but being forced to give birth to a rapist child makes the situation worse. The baby will be a reminder of the rape for the rest of her life.

Forget the scare mongering, early term abortion done by a professional doctor is extremely safe. When I was in the world, my friends and I had lots of experience in that regard and non resulted in any complications. I had a friend that the girlfriend got pregnant practically every month. The girl is married today with children.

The problem is cost, abortion by a qualified gynecologist is quite expensive. I hear it is about 50k nowadays. The cases where complication arises is when the abortion is late like 4 months and above or it was done by quacks, chemists, nurses, etc.

You're right, adoption is another option for her but still that means she'll have to go through the 9months of pregnancy and extra time to wean the baby, don't you think it will affect the studies?

And moreso, it's not easy being in an orphanage and grappling with the feeling that your parents never wanted you

Many are gratefully that their parents never aborted them, rather put them for adoption.

Life is not always easy .Are suggesting we should have a license to kill those who have difficulties or challenges to tackle in life.

If your mum deferred her education for a semester or two so that you could be born, don't you think you worth it?

To give up a child for adoption, the mother does not need to wean the child.
