The truth is even if he did perform well he will not win election because in Kogi the Igalas have more population and more LGAs and are united in voting in same direction while the Igbiras have lesser population and LGAs and more divided with lots of internal strives and fights. He should have Governed well and looked for a popular Igala man to succeed him as his godson. doing so would have won him both control of the State and a Federal appointment.

Bello’s Performance in office is comparable to the performance of governors like Ikpeazu, Ortiz, Dickson etc. if the later governors can seek re-election and win, nothing stops Yahaya Bello from seeking re-election. However, I want the good people of Kogi to vote him out. Any governor that fail to pay workers salaries as at when due is simply inhuman. Such leaders shouldn’t be compensated with a second term.
