I plan to book multiple destinations with Kenya airways, spend like 4 days in Nairobi, before I enter South Africa. Will this be a problem at the point of entry in South Africa?

I don't think so but just try to obtain Kenya visa online before going to Kenya.

Alhamdulilah, I finally got my passport, the mixup I had occured due to network problem because the courier service called my phone but wasn't reachable so my passport was returned to my application centre where I later picked it myself. Thank you all for the hints!

Type: Tourist
Drop off: VFS Lagos
Submission date: February 13
Passport return date: April 5
Visa: Yes
Call? No call

N.B: Anyone with "very" complicated challenge, if chanced; should visit his/her application centre.

That's what I am thinking

Have you been tracking before you decide to visit your application centre ?

This is the response I got from VFS after mailing to inquire about my application;

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for the mail,
Kindly be informed that Our record shows that your Passport was ready and has been collected.

Best Regards"

Meanwhile, I paid for courier service and I've neither been called nor mailed regarding my application delivery. It's 10 weeks and 2 days now. What should I do next please?

Please send me the email you use in mailing them

Thanks

Kenya is not visa free. However, you can obtain tourist visa at the point of entry. I think it's $50 or so. Not too sure now.

Hello house.....

Is there any way of contacting the vfs office via email or telephone.?

Also Is it possible to visit Lagos vfs office and query my visa been delayed?

I reside in Edo State

Applied since January 31st 2019

Visa type : relative

Relative visa takes longer than the other types of visa.

You can contact the embassy using the e-mail and make enquiries though.

All the best.

I heard there was a backlog at the embassy. They are clearing it though.

Contact your institution's International office and see if they can help you contact the embassy.

All the best.

Hello people in the house, Iamgrey5, Kombast, Mimicle101, and @ Andrew444. I have been silently following this thread for a very long time and I have learnt lots on this forum regarding the process, and steps by steps on how to obtain South Africa visa.
I’m having a serious problem and I want the house to help me out.

I submitted my tourist visa using the VIP section on 25th of March at vfs lagos centre. My question is this.
I lost my reference number through my phone and this has been difficult for me to track my application, so i had to travel from osun state ( Ile-Ife ) to vfs Lagos centre along with the photocopy of my international passport but I wasn’t allow to go in by the security mobile police and nothing yet in my email nor phone calls. Pls house how can I go about this.

This is the 6th weeks and next week will make it 7th weeks pls house am fed up

Why werent you allowed to go in? they should have given you reason

Didnt you tell them what you are there for?

Did you go there with your receipt? there should be a receipt after you submitted

Thou your application is still 5 weeks old

Thanks for the swift response @andrew444. I was told that I can only go in with my original passport after explaining all to the mobile police but now I’m thinking of going back again next week if they will grant me favor to go in

Though I signed an agreement stating that I ( my name ), signature and date that I agreed that my application might take longer than I’m expected but I do not expect it to get late to 6-7weeks. I’m just confused

So if you can only go in with original passport then how do people who don't pay for courier service collect their passport when it's ready ?

Just send them the email with your name and passport numbers.

They should be able generate your Visa application numbers with that.
