The bitter truth still remains that Mike is confused as to what he wants. Stop leading a woman on or give her false hope when you know you don't love her. Admit it, Mike is controlled by his third leg not his brain.
Ruth is never the cause of his problem. He lacks self control and it keeps landing him into more troubles.

Mike is not decisive, he keeps going back to his Vomit eg Amaka. Come to think of it, Was it Ruth that led him to Thomas, his cultist friend and all other shits he got into? There are 101 ways he would have asked the gay guy to leave him alone but he couldn't say it politely rather he resorted to fight and ended up killing the guy.

Mike's problem came as a result of the bad choices and decisions he made.
PS: It's wrong to lead a woman on when you know you don't love her. Tolerating her and allowing her stay with his mom gave her the hope he wants her and the effrontery to make moves of having Mike all to herself.
