"So called" in that I don't know how he became an imam. He classifies himself as a Reformist, which basically most muslims don't take the slightest bit serious. (Disclaimer: I don't actually know what his definition of reform is)
My issue is that he seems (to me) like he is only trying to please the Christians and the rest of the world and not actually trying to help Muslims recognize and eradicate extremists and their radical ideologies from within them/our selves.
And the Christians need to man up and stop letting people with opposing values to theirs who are not willing to obey the law of the land into their countries.
So yeah, I don't know where I stand, but I do know that if Muslims themselves don't try to halt the spread of extremism we are in deep trouble (just like how no one spoke against the early bokoharam until they start putting bombs in mosques and killing self proclaimed Muslims).
