This days, the bible/Quran is being preached by the interpretation or perspective of the reader.be it pastors, priests, imams,Alfas etc...becoming a scholar in these religious books still dosnt make ur preaching right cos it's still subject to perspective wich varies in everyone.ppl only accept the perspective that seems reasonable to them or might solve thier problems...personally, I Feel considering churches need money to run (not including thier private jets, cars & luxury belongings),I Tink tithes suld be divided btw the church & the millions of needy ppl around 30-70%.

Stephanie Otobo who had a bitter standoff with Apostle Suleman, has reacted to Daddy Freeze and Akpororo's fight which centered on tithes, being called a wall gecko and the alleged poor turnout at the comedian's show at Okokomaiko. Recall we reported earlier that Daddy Freeze who mocked Akpororo over the poor turnout at his show, wondered if his tithe he ‘boasted’ of has stopped working for him. He further disclosed that he has forgiven him, and wish he stops paying or advertising ‘idolatrous tithe’.

However after Akpororo fired back at Daddy Freeze and further stated that he still pays his tithes which works for him, the OAP in his comeback post mocked him for wearing Fendi by Lacoste. He called the comedian a fake guy as he wrote 'Oya bible scholars, e don set o...Lacoste Fendi Na you be the real wall gecko'.

Stephanie Otobo who reacted to Daddy Freeze and Akpororo's fight in the comment section of the post, blamed it all on religion. She wrote;

It is obvious that she has no understanding of the human connection to the spiritual. She operates only at the temporal plane of existence.

Religion sure never held down Europe and America. It obviously never held down Turkey, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, etc. Our LEADERS HAVE FAILED. Obviously no guts from these celebrities abi OAPs to unleash their venom at them. Religion is just an easy target. Christianity precisely. Attack Islam ferociously and see the immediate outcome.
How many countries in Europe and America are still truly religious? Stop citing countries that practice religion sparingly. How many times do they organize vigils in these countries? If pesin no die or dem no dey do wedding, these people rarely go to church. The most religious parts of the nations are usually the most mentally backward. The most religious parts are the most intolerant as well.

Slavery thrived on the back of religion and the Bible, racism thrives on the same thing today. The Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations you are citing, are all racist nations and a negro like yourself is viewed as the lowest of beings. You would not be able to live comfortably in these places, for no other reason than the color of your skin

I am not even against religion, but these places you have cited are either irreligious, or intolerant, mostly based on religion. Keep yourself informed next time, don't just cite places because you want to defend anything.

Please, keep quiet. Which plane of existence is Dangote and Mark Zukerberg on?

The government does not claim to be God's tax collector; only pastors do.

They use this money to enrich themselves, and the brainwashed audience will be hailing them.

Most times, I wonder the yardstick people use in justifying the fact that pastors are responsible for the prevailing poverty striking the nation.

Hence, pitching photos of pastors in jets and poverty-stricken people side-by-side seems like a credible conclusion as regards Poverty and it's cause.

Pastors - the Ones who are knowledgeable about the purpose of their calling - are not to be held responsible for a country's poor social-economic activities.

Hold the leaders who you elect. Demand for transparency and accountability.
First of all you must find out the reason there is Church, when pastors begin to trade the Gospel for personal gain, it means they are creating more poverty for the members, Church is supposed to be a help, for less privileged amongst you.
When the people that brought Christianity to us, they brought it with Love, hence they came with free schools, free health care etc
Today the schools our pastorprenours built with our tithes and seeds are only for the rich in which majority of these rich are the criminal politicians.
Now instead of giving to the poor from the rich, you collect from the poor and give to the rich, which is opposite of what the church represents.
In most cases the pastorsprenours work hand in hand with the politicians

The government collects tax, as they should.

What do pastors collect? Tithe. They tell you that if you don't pay, then you are "robbing God".

They claim to be taking money for God, then do an about-turn and use to it enrich themselves.

Does God need your money? No. You know who does? Your pastors.

After taking your money, they will be claiming spirituality.

Saweetie released her EP, Icy in March and it has generally been received well. In this era of City Girls, the take-his-money mentality is not fresh, but is certainly entertaining.

ICY has seven songs and you can be assured that it is a unique body of work. However, if you’ve known Saweetie from the High Maintenance era and were expecting a similar vibe, you will be sorely disappointed.

Thank you for your response. The underlying issue affecting Nigeria and which elicits all these attack on Christianity is UNDERDEVELOPMENT. Fingers have been pointed to religion and ferocious attacks on Christianity as the culprit. I take your advise to be better informed. I also advise you to inform yourself too of the thriving of Christianity in America despite all claims to the contrary. Have you been to Joel Osteen's Church, have you been to T.D Jakes Church, have you seen the crowd that Joyce Meyer pulls? Have you ever worshipped at the Catholic Basillica in Washington DC just to mention a few? Well I have been to these places. Besides, I have studied the religions of the world at graduate level and I can tell you categorically that in the few years of involving in social action for societal development, religion have not held Nigerian bound to poverty and underdevelopment. Our leaders have.

Stephanie referred to religion as SCAM. That is not true. For those who deny the existence of the Spiritual plane of existence, my apologies to them. The religious dimension is better experienced than explained.

Our youths still struggle to go to Dubai and Saudi Arabia despite their so called intolerance. Why? Because there, development is at its peak nothwithstanding their so called anti social or anti human religious tenets.

The rise of secularism in the West does not in anyway invalidate subscription to religious realities. It is never old fashioned. Leave religion out of Nigeria's sorry state. Blame our leaders.

Just because you have issues with pastors enriching themselves from Church proceeds does not invalidate religion or Christianity. That is not why Christianity exists.

I don't have to be a Dangote or Zukerberg. The worship of God as Christianity teaches is not about the acquision of wealth. You certainly need not profess any religious creed to become rich. Besides, very many wealthy, exposed and learned persons are Christians.

Recently, one of the Idimi's daughter's recently talked about being depressed despite her family billion dollars empire. Money does not answer all things.

Hate pastors who collect tithes infact wish them all dead. It however does not invalidate the fact God exists and have touched the lives of countless people both RICH and POOR alike. You didn't have to begin by telling me to keep quiet. Thanks

It appears you seem not to understand or accept the reality that many Christians are productively engaged in various fields of endeavour. They go to Church to seek succour in the divine for issues other than financial freedom. Some persons are naturally lazy. Christianity does not condone laziness. This does not mean that God has ceased to work in miraculous ways. Again you don't need to believe this. Christians however do. I think your signature statement conveys my thoughts of where our collective anger as a nation should be channelled. Thanks.

It doesn't have to be thithe. Donations made to the Chruch have been used in touching many lives. The Church should not be in the business of publicising the charity they do. My Church where I worship for instance is bombarded with many individuals seeking for one form of financial assistance or the other ranging from school fees, to house rents, to handouts to destitutes and the homeless, to the infirmed etc. If all the offertory made in Church on Sunday is given to these persons, how will Church staff be paid? how will the building be maintained? How will office administration function? etc This is where voluntary donations comes handy. Believe me, the poor keeps trooping in and out. If a pastors enriches himself and becomes a thief, It doesn't negate the good works done by those who channel Church donations appropriately.
