The multi billion naira Goshen campus of Living faith church was commissioned nearly a decade ago on land stretching about 1,000 acres on the outskirts of Abuja. And right in front of ECWA's Bingham university.

Today while reminscing about churches i remembered one of the remarkable and funny stories about Goshen. A time ago the NUC was invited to this campus for their preliminary assessment of the soon to take of university within the campus.

Once NUC officials toured the campus they gave an affirmation, saying that the facilities were good enough and sufficient for a university. The church officials immediately then corrected them that there was no single university building within the campus and all the buildings they saw were for other purposes.


Within Goshen is one of Living Faith Church biggest secondary schools...


The school has 1,245 students and 230 teaching and non teaching staff.

45 Classrooms for Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools, 1,500 Seater Dining Hall. 1,440 capacity Boys and Girls Hostels with ceiling fans and water heaters. An ultra modern Administrative Block with a standard, fully air-conditioned Conference Room.

While of course, Nigeria is filled with some very nice and elite secondary schools such as Loyola, Ambassadors, Presco, Vivian Fowler, Nineveh, Corona and the likes, it is still amazing to see the church make some effort to join the league of persons offering alternative education to better the secondary education system

Nice one. Sadly, contract inflated cost of most government public schools can build something nice and quality as this but corruption has blocked their eyes from the betterment of this country.

Living faith infrastructure is always like FG infrastructure.
I'm not surprised NUC was confused. This school is bigger than chrisland university, koladaisi university and its admin building is the same size as Madonna's senate building

Well this is a secondary school, the idea isn't to show off mind blowing infrastructure. Even in the West, the average high school isn't so much about architectural masterpiece.

The greatest seat of power in the world - the White House is so basic that Trump would have preferred to rule from Maralago if possible. The US can afford to build the biggest hi-tech villa in the world. But that's not their priority.

The priority of living faith is not to dream up expensive and unnecessary architecture but to provide quality education and biblical grooming to young adults.

very beautiful and well maintained................ my sDad cherishes the building like wetin...and their ATM is the only one that pays minted notes constantly.... So he loves withdrawing there....

Once Nigerians see rainbow colour house with China aluminium zinc plus aluminium Windows they will start shouting how the building is the best in the world,give the house 2 years go back and check

This is beautiful, it is much better than many mushroom and government owned glorified secondary schools called government universities in Nigeria. God bless his servant through whom this laudable vision came

What is the architectural significance of this building that looks like it was designed by 'Lego Corporation'. I don't think you know what the essence of architecture is. Pleaee don't be carried away by glass panels.Those are made in a factory. Among the best architecture in Abuja (in no particular order) are:

Shehu Yaradua Centre, National Mosque, NCC HQ, Millenium Tower (uncompleted) amongst others. High rise office blocks are linear to make them quick and cheap to build. When you start adding abstract shapes and configurations to buildings that require exotic materisls and customised construction methods then you know someone was truly inspired.

Nigeran architects like other professionals are not maxing their potentials and not doing enough to inspire excellence. Another reason why Nigeria is not a tourism heavy weight.... lazy architecture.

truth be told, Oyedepo deserves national recognition for his contributions to the educational sector in Nigeria.
