Please I’m so mad now how can I do it... Check the processing time for student visa and you could mail the school back based on your findings.

I submitted my passport last Friday after getting an Original passport request. Do you think it’ll be ready for pick up on Monday? (It’s been a week as of this Friday). I want to go to Canada next week as my new business venture starts in June and I need the break!

When did you submit your online application?
It takes 3-5 business days on the average.

I have a friend who applied for her visa March 19th and the visa Centre in Lagos.
No replies from the Canadian high commission yet....
Has anyone applied in the last 2 months and have gotten a decision from the embassy yet?

Also, does the online portal update your VISA info before they send it to VFS. My mum’s was updated with her VISA details (I applied for her in February online, her passport was collected almost a month after it was ready cause she was lazy so I can’t be sure when her visa was ready). I just remember they updated the VISA info online so I was wondering if this is done before the VISA is returned to VFS.

Would you suggest I just go to the VFS office to check if the VISA is ready? It’s literally a 3 minute walk from my house.

Well if they requested for your passport it means you will be given the visa.
Same thing happened when I got my PR. They'll update it when the visa has been stamped.

Okay so that means my passport hasn’t been stamped then and it’s still at the consulate. The VISA info hasn’t been updated on the CIC online portal.

I’m just asking questions so i’ll Know whether to bother to go on Monday.

Congratulations Never give up .....Just relax I think it takes 2 to 3weeks

Like I said, it’s a long miraculous story. I didn’t submit another application before I got an OPR. Let’s just say their reasons for denial made no sense, I have a strong profile I went to high school and two years of uni in Canada before I moved to England where I graduated. I have strong family ties and bank account was pretty sweet. And they denied me twice based on family ties and finances then God stepped in.

Really dunno why, but the US Visa Officers will most likely say each consulate have their own internal workings and approach to visa applications, I agree.

@the bolded means Visa Sticker is already on the passport that is (and it indicates the validity period even), in 1-2 business days after that mostly, passport should be back to the VAC.... If you don’t see that update yet, it means the sticker isn’t on yet

Hello everyone. Please, I want to confirm the following:
1. Can a Nigerian with a valid US visa still apply to CAnada from US? Travel date to US is end of June, I am thinking what if passport does not come out (paper route) or if online route too gets unnecessarily long, can one apply in the US? I know this was applicable at a time but please, has anyone done this recently? OR
2. If one concludes the application online in Nigeria, is there a way of getting the visa sticker in New York?
3. Please, what is the maximum days to receive request for passport for online applications? I know paper route takes months now so it is not an option.
4. Passport expires in October. Does it matter if the validity is less than 6months. Is Canada strict with this rule?

pls how did u send ur statement of account for online application?? do i need to a printout?

download your statement from bank onlinr or scan the one u have collected from back and upload it to canada visa page
