no much issue abt it,u can either travel with a passport (19500) or I'd card (21,500).I traveled with guo motors at iyana ipaja.journey is about 12 hours or less,the stops are just normal checkpoint.I would have replied since my fone fall and I just repaired it.

Nice thread. I am based in Lome, Togo and lots of Ghanian people, even Nigerians in Ghana normally come here to buy stuffs being that its cheaper. If you like to be getting stuffs from Lome I can assist you if you come to Lome. I think its just about 2hours or so from Accra to Aflao which is the border of Togo and Ghana.
You can be getting stuffs cheaper here in Lome and I know for sure you will make good money. I use to supply dresses and indomie noodles to Accra before but since the whole issue of police clamp down, I decided to just stop going for now just to avoid any issues.

Aside the clothing business, naija noodles, naija plastic coke and fanta, hollandia yogurt sell very well in Ghana. Also naija can multa Guinness as well because they are different from what Ghana have so it moves really good over there. You can make enquiry as well.

I wish you all the best bro and hopefully we can end up having a good long term business relationship together some day

Good afternoon OP, i am very sorry my response is gonna be harsh but that is the honest truth. You have decided to go into business choosing Ghana as your market and you are here on Nairaland looking for someone who didn't help you raise capital and who don't have any idea of how enterprising you are to help you decide on the type or kind of business or commodity to trade in. i doubt if you really hustled to gather the capital you have at hand to venture into the yet to start business or trade.
Ghana is a visa-free country for you as a Nigerian to travel to, you can reduce cost of travel by going by road, there are lots of bed space hostels in Accra you can lodge for as low as 10Ghc per night(if you don't have someone to accommodate you). why don't you pick up your passport and health vaccination card(yellow card), buy a bus ticket and head down to Accra on a 4/5days fact finding mission(won't cost you more than 60k if you are prudent).

Since you are strictly interested in the business opportunities in Accra and not vacation, you can locate one of the numerous bed space hostels in tudu, adabraka, new town, High street, etc. during the day you move around the markets from mokola, CMB, katamanto, high street to kwame nkruma circle, kokolemle, abosey okkai, kaneshie to odorkor, sakaman, awoshie,fadama, medina, agbogloshie market ( pls make use of trotro(public bus) for commuting within the city. taxis are expensive), You eat in local restaurants and retire to the hostel at the end of each day's findings. You will meet lots of Nigerian residents doing businesses and you can interact with them and also citizens too. You can do window shopping to know the cost of items you know are also very common in Nigeria or probably manufactured in Nigeria. i can assure you after 4 - 5 days of intensive fact finding on the street of Accra you will have ideas of what trade or business is gonna be okay with you.

Mind you, your visit will help you understand the currency, exchange rate, get to feel the environment, meet people, make acquaintances/friends, experience transportation within Accra, have idea of the cost of living and also help you have a cue on how to negotiate cost of transporting your intended wares/goods from Nigeria to Ghana. Remember everybody's story is gonna be different just as our destinies are different. i left Nigeria to Accra some 10+years ago on fact finding mission on how to start a business, i thank God i did cos i end up using my then capital to put up a commercial building in Cape Coast instead.
