lecturers that oppress there students aren't brilliant, they cant provide solutions to topics outside the materials/ hand out they have been using to teach ever since they got the teaching job.

The story is real and I know the lecturer too..He has changed though and I think that experience changed him. I am a graduate of biology too. LAUTECH.

The life lesson learned here: "is to always be nice to people you meet on your way to the top because on your way down you'll surely meet some of those people."

I do think you didn't understand the story. My friend wrote CHM 102 for five years. CHM102 is a borrowed year one chemistry course for geology students in uniben. He had extra year because of the chemistry course.

God want to pick something out of this matter,

if not,

i don't think they supposed to met eachother in life again,

well! let us forgive and forget.

We should learn that whatever position we may be is temporary is not a permanent place.

No matter what you do ....you will never get those six years back. Secondly you allowed a personal matter to cloud your judgement. You won a small battle but not that war.

It's either an old gist or duplicate because I have read this before...More than a year now

and one lecturer just gave us question 1a to 1f with three kids each (I.e ai , aii and aiii and so on) and still had the guts all calculation with 1mk for each and still had the guts to tell Us to answer 3 more other questions under 2hours hmmm Smh...it is well some lecturers shall.

don't mind them. Many don't know what goes around, comes around and Que Sera Sera! I had such encounter in my first year with a student, we register manually then, when I wanted to shunt after given a space by a friend, the guy shouted and asked me to leave and join the line from behind. I was mad and had to leave till the following day. After our registration, one day I was checking the lecture time table at night with my torch light, as I was about leaving, a young man begged to use the torch. When I turned to stare at his face, it was the same guy who refused me from gaining a space during registration. I reminded him of what he did. I told him, in life you need to help others when you have the opportunity and if you don't, you end up learning in a painful way. After that, he was trying to apologize, but I left without given him. There are people who will not learn no matter the kindness you show to them. I just did that to him so he may remember not to do same to other people.

If it were ABU Zaria, failing 4 courses of biology for 5 years means you will either remain in 100level or would been withdrawn by the 3rd year.

60-80% of 100level courses are prerequisite of 200level and it builds up to the final year. If a student does up to 3 courses of biology like this case, then his higher department is heavily dependent on those courses making at least 2 of the prerequisites.

What am saying is that if guy in the story did so many biology, he must be of one of the following faculties; science, medicine, pharmacy, vet medicine. If he is in chemistry, he may escape but anything biochemistry, microbiology to anything medical, he sure cannot move forward until he clear those carryovers. I am still wondering, which science department would do so much of biology and still do not treat it as a prerequisite.

For eg my roomate and i did electrical and civil engineering respectively. We did exactly the same courses in 100l and failed the same courses. A math and a physics (electrical). By failing that course he was doomed for an extra year, like a repeat since 2 of his 200l courses are dependent on that physics. His is a chain link till final year. I also needed to do his 200l course but it ends there for me.
