I know several people lining up to leave for North America. All said if Buhari won the election, they'll. All processing their move now.

Some of them believed so much in Nigeria just years back. Some left well-paying jobs to do private business.

Now fuel cost alone in last few years has rendered business hardly profitable. Poor economy is not helping.

Their kids are at risk of kidnap.

One paid 4m Naira ransom to be released. Just an average guy trying out private business.

Many people in govt positions in Nigeria have their families tucked away abroad.

if you know the amount of Nigerians in diaspora that applied for nnpc job, it will shock you why they went abroad in the first place. no Nigerian in his/her right senses with a very high paying and comfortable job will abandon it just to fly abroad, knowing fully well suck job will afford him/her the lifestyle he/she yearns for.

traveling abroad is fine and no one condemns it, but your reasons should be entitled to yourself and not just you painting a very bad home image. if his job pays him very well, he should have spent money and relocate to a well secured place

He should have stayed and sent his wife and kids to settle out there instead. . .

No need starting from scratch again, not when you've built a foundation here already.

Sorry to say, but the dude is right. Most of us in naija are our own local government. We provide electricity for ourselves, we dig boreholes to provide Water for ourselves, we pay vigilantes and provide security for ourselves. Some people don't have waste management agencies and they get rid of Thier trash by themselves. Even in terms of HealthCare, the most affordable (general Hospitals) will tell you to go out and buy cyringe for injections or blood for transfusion. The roads are terrible. If you drive in Lagos, you will see and experience so much hate and so many self centred folks. This country is just so depressing.
My brother if not for yourself, at least for the sake of your kids, if you can afford it. Forget about Andrew and check out. Good luck with you new life in Canada.

Those problem u mentioned which are prevalent in Nigeria, find out well how much u pay for them abroad

Health care witout insurance is very expensive abroad, water bill too and many more re not cheap abroad. But over here in Niger we want them free of charge. Some pple ve never paid lite bill in their lives.
