I went and collected my original waec certificate today,
A mistake was made on my date of birth,
Please I want to correct it, the mistake was during registration, the exam was2011 Gce private, only the year, please who had done such, is it still possible to correct it.

If you are correcting just your name or just your date of birth (DOB), you will be required to pay just N10,000. But if you are doing correction of name and DOB in WAEC result, you will pay N15,000. You have to write to WAEC through the school you sat for the examinations, with photocopy of your birth certificate attached. Declaration of age is not acceptable

Just visit any WAEC office bear you. It can be corrected.

I had same problem in my GCE result. I was told to present a police report, affidavit from court, present my birth certificate (not age declaration o), photo copies of original registration forms, copy of passport photo graph as on the registration form (if still available), a fee of 25,000naira. Your submitted documents will then be sent to Abuja for verification and further actions which may take 60years to conclude......my dear it's a very very long and tiring process. Luckily I did not need it desperately, I just wanted it for keep, I already had my complete result in WAEC.

Bro, it can't be corrected considering the fact that the organization issue only one original copy of your cert. Any correction will prompt them giving out another original copy, which is not possible... the only help to his problem is court Affidavit... thanks

If possible I think it's best u get an affidavit so that u Wil not die of hbp at an early age

Mine had the same issue, what you should do is, go get an affidavit and attach it you your waec cert. When ever you are presenting your waec cert, present it alongside the affidavit. With that you are good.
