sir i cant argue with you, I'm speaking for myself based on my own experience there. all i know is i was treated in NOHE and today i can walk to the glory of God. before i was operated, some tried to discourage me , saying the doctors would complicate the issues more, thanks to God i didn't listen to them. sir doctors treats but God heals. some spinal cord injury patients i met then in the ward i was in, hasn't walked till today. even the best surgeon in the world can't heal anybody's bone, they just treat the patients and leave the rest for God,

We have 3 standard Orthopaedic hospitals in Nigeria which are in Lagos, Kano and Enugu but the best is still
National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi Lagos. Most consultants you see today in the other 2 Orthopaedic hospitals are being trained at Igbobi and dispersed to all other Orthopaedic hospitals. I want to tell you that I did my internship there in 2011 and I was attached to the burns unit headed by Dr Chirac and also Spinal unit headed by Dr Gbadegesin and they had lots of successful surgeries in both units during my time there. In fact, the best spinal surgeon in Nigeria today is Dr Alimi which was then a consultant spinal surgeon under Dr. Gbadegesin is now the Medical Director of Igbobi now and he still find time to attend to patient even with his busy schedule. I will recommend any day any time government owned institutions than private cos these private hospitals are only interested in your money and nothing would still be done.

Why would I doubt you?

A local bone setter treated my leg for an accident, now I can't even bend my knees anymore, I don't know if I can find any orthopedic hospital that can correct the stiffness as in, my knee joints are just immovable. Who knows and the cost for this?

National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu is really good as they have wonderful personnel; orthopaedic surgeons, radiologists, etc but grossly under equipped and patients care there is not ideal. As at 2012 when I last visited there as a fresh graduate, they had no C-arm in the theatre which is invaluable for such procedures as femural nailing, DHS, knee replacement, etc. The surgeons still perform what I'll rather call miracles under this condition.

igbobi in lagos is also a nice place, better equipped but the workload there is so much that if u don't know any member of staff, it will take a very long time before one can be attended to

Lucky you. I am happy for you. I am also not arguing with you. However, you shouldn't generalise with your case. Generalization is done on the average. Your case is one out of 100% spinal cord patients at male ward 1 NOHE. I can say it authoritatively anywhere anytime. In passing, thank God once again for you.

U got the spelling wrong in the first place. It's Mkar Christian Hospital.They can try in that place too.

I think we should only speak of places we know personally and not just by hear say. I Will strongly recommend Daisyland Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital in Zarmaganda ,Jos town. It is arguably one if the best hospitals for Orthopedic issues. I was involved in a fatal crash back in 2015 and i had several major bones broken: broken femur (2 places), shattered scapula, cracked ribs, pulmonary contusion, dislocated shoulder, burnt back and hands etc. All these were treated at this hospital. Today i can walk perfectly with no limping, i can run and do most of what i could do b4 the accident. It is run by Prof Onche, a top doctor at JUTH who has trained several orthopedic Drs and other Professors who are scatteed all over the country
