Going by your calculations, you used 1500 fuel to make about 13000 adding ubers commission. Your hybrid prius must be a brand new one

I knew he was just a joker when he was posting dashboard of 74k minus toll of #3,100. At least he will deliver 35k according to him and buy fuel 30-30k.
Even if he does not do any other expenses he will still borrow to save his usual #20k.

I never bought fuel 30-35k.

Maximum fuel not more than 20-25 weekly, then I'm making more.

You guys are just village bully.

I don't do any other job apart from Uber. So if I'm not making money as you frustrated elders claim. I won't be with Uber.

I know I pay my weekly rental without default, AND still save 20k weekly.

pope191, when that elder Quitnotice that claim, he started with Uber from the good old days, doesn't know Uber don't post earnings with Uber commission, nobody noticed it, was totally ignored...

Xneg have warn you guys not to pay attention to me, still he quote me all the time.

I'm so sorry guys I can't reply all of you, from site engineer, to Quitnotice house agent. AND BANK MANAGERS. keep ur old career aside, your new career and job title is Uber driver.

I can't bet, I'm not making money on this forum, only 1 person make money here, the car mechanic.

If I'm tired of dealing with nairaland village elders, I will quit. That does not mean I have stop driving Uber.

This was my first post on this tread but I wasn’t adviced properly but I felt there is an opportunity to make money in the transportation sector.

I found out that things aren’t rousy anymore particularly when you are not on ground.

I believe you are on ground to monitor your business that’s why you go with the Rentals option @dru23.

Don’t you think I will have issues if am not on ground to monitor it. Should I fancy the Hire purchase option?

I think I understand dru23's business strategy. He makes more money doing rentals because after a while he sells the cars off and go for another after he must have made his money through weekly remittance, I guess the reason he's always hammering on maintenance.

I really like your energy..
You get their time gan..
I am really enjoying every bit of it and I also know the simple truth.
More than half of the times you mention uber is cool as far as you are concerned they just get angry again in their head, lol.

My advice for drivers and partner
(As long as it pays the bills just hold on to it)

People that are on the fence have other means of making money like our number one mechanic and co..

We that we are on the field know what we are making and how we are going about it so its best to keep the ball rolling at all times..

You buy it cheap, you sell it cheap. You buy it high, you sell it high. So all this talk about resale value doesn't make sense to me.

Having said that, I agree that Toyota is the best for the job in terms of reliability. Even at that, I can only recommend 3 Toyota models: Corolla, Matrix and Yaris.

Well if you do not understand what 2nd hand value is all about then I really cannot help you here..

you can’t call it a fat lie just because you were informed after you didn’t believe it happens.

I never come across anyone who does rentals in Canada but then, you said it’s a weekly stuff.

Let’s face the main reason I came up to talk, that’s what you should address but thanks for the information anyway I will make my research.

Now tell me, with the standard of living in US and Nigeria, did you make findings why they could strike over there and it’s not possible in Nigeria?
Bro, I'm sorry to interrupt your discussion. I personally like such discussions. The answer is simple. Unemployment rate and poor mentality. In Nigeria, we generally believe it's okay once it puts food on the table. No! If you notice the last few pages, the discussion/argument has been all about whether or not the job still pays. And you can see we had people that are ready to go the extra mile to prove it still does; while in other climes, they are already having it far better than us, but are still busy protesting to get more.
Now, if we generally agree on industrial action, these people who believe it still pays, since they don't have an alternative, will sabotage the process. This will in turn make the strike unfruitful. You mentioned in your previous comment that an average Nigerian driver on rental or HP would be reluctant to go on strike, which is true. We saw it in the last couple of strike that held.
I highly anticipate an era where the youths will be ready to sacrifice time, energy, and that chicken change that's deceiving us, rise up with one voice and fight for our dear country. Even though it wasn't convenient, and the notice was short, I still joined the striking drivers only to come online thereafter to see some drivers boasting that they didn't participate in the strike, calling those that were involved names. That's our problem in this part, bro.

See mumu, the 10k I earn is after Uber commission. Uber only post ur earning, they don't post your earnings with Uber commission.

Rent:5k
Fuel:1500.... I didn't drive fully. I spend 3k fuel If I drive fully.
Card:100 for that particular day.
Food 600 twice eating
My take home 3700

3x7=21k... I make more.

Fridays to Sunday I make it double and even more.

You made over 10k with 1.5k fuel? Kai! I won't quote you again. ..

Na me put you for work? Yes I put fuel of 1500 and my dashboard showing 10700.

Let me ask all of our bank managers, when bankers earn 60k - 100k monthly, do they minus their feeding from their salary?

Do they minus transport money from their salary?

So why are we minus our call card and feeding from our earnings, you are actually working to feed yourself and take care of other needs.

Meanwhile still on the hussle, it's a process at the end of the week you will smile home.
