Statistically speaking, downgrade though Gala is top team.

It's not a downgrade bros ,even if Belgium is the better league

You didn't answer my question, Would Onyekuru moving to the Belgium league be considered an upgrade?

I would call it a downgrade.

rorh will only take two natural strikers so osihmen and onuachu will fight for a spot so I'm predicting osihmen/onuachu and iheanacho
Icon4s:

Now, let's be careful. The term used is "Forwards". Which includes both Wingers, SS, CFs.

There are 4 SS & CFs on that list and 6 Wingers. Out of this 6 Wingers u may only play 2 at a time in a game. We have a surplus in this position if u ask me. And I think one of the natural wingers may NOT make it to Egypt. I fear for Samuel Chukwueze if the other Wingers are in good form. Hope he is not gonna miss out on both major tournaments? This singular point I know is what Rohr may consider and chose to keep him. But who will he drop from: Iwobi, Simon, Kalu, Onyekuru and Musa. Iwobi and Musa are already in Egypt. Simon missed the last WC due to injury, after contributing so much to the qualification, and if he is fully fit in camp the coach might want to compensate him with the AFCON. Now left between Kalu and Onyekuru, who to me are still ahead of Chukwueze.
Ighalo, Osimhen and Onuachu are the 3 natural CFs and are likely to be in Egypt already. Iheanacho's ability to play as an SS, and AM in addition to CF is what is still keeping him in the team. If he doesn't put in a good shift in camp Rohr may have to drop him and not any of the wingers. But if he applies himself well, I fear for Chukwueze.

Then also we have 8 Defenders out of which 3 are Full Backs and 5! are CBs. The CB is another position we have surplus. All the 3 Full backs are as good as being in Egypt if u ask me. And for the CB to drop, it is easy to look towards Semi Ajayi but his ability to also play as a DM might keep him in the team. Awaziem looks like the one to be dropped IMO.

My likely players to be dropped: Awaziem and Chukwueze/Iheanacho

Bro, success is not good enough. Simple. Whether or not he plays in the epl.

Afterall, Ndidi, Iwobi (who I still think is overhyped) plays quite regularly in the EPL

Succes has been far from SUCCESSFUL time for him to change name.

I get your point

But didn't Simy did better than kayode before the World Cup ?

What nwakaeme ? The one that has only one cap for the eagles ?

You wanna drop onauchu for awoniyi right ? But you know it's the coach decision and this doesn't happens only in naija football ,some players are not lucky due to selection

Did Simy win motm? Was he outstanding? I don't think so.

Where did you see me write, drop Onuachu? I only gave you instances.

It's only in Nigeria you pick players in a very lower league.

onyekuru to Belgium, naaa I don't like it...which team self, anderletch? Or club brugge?... Onyekuru is ascending and should only leave turkey for ,Epl,la liga,France ,Spain, anything apart from that is not acceptable for us....

But still I side with forgiveness on this, Turkish league is for about to retire players...I can't remember any player of note that went there or was sold from the league, can't say the same for the Belgian league...it's the bedrock of TALENTS...

What if Iheanacho puts in a good shift in camp n fits into the team's tactics should he also be dropped so that he can go and "rediscover himself"?

me and you both know, in camp he will be thrust forward as a CF,
let him find his feet first in his position, which is/was AM

But did Awoniyi perform better than Osimhen this season? Based on current form who is actually ahead? Personally I don’t see why Ajayi is on standby. Osimhen should be there (if not in nacho’s place).

Osimhen had a better season overall. Awoniyi ended the season in a strong note sha.

I'm gonna be blunt. I think the argument on including Awoniyi is mostly biased driven. Yeah.

Awoniyi has not had a great season by any standards. During the first half of the season he was nowhere, we feared for the boy's career. It was only during the new loan at his former loan club Mouscron that he banged in a few decisive ones here and there but still nowhere near that top level at all.

Now put him side by side with the other attackers invited. He can't compete an established striker like Ighalo Onuachu has had a great season and when eventually he was invited he put in a convincing performance. He can't even compete with Osimhen who plays in the same league. Osimhen has been a monster. Down to Iheanacho, based on pedigree, Iheanacho has it going for him. You can't invite an unproven Awoniyi who has not had a great season in place of a tested Iheanacho.

I would suggest someone else performing at a decent level be invited in place of Iheanacho. Currently. Awoniyi is not that person.
