econome:will supply you new 200 watts mono panel at cheap price. 12v and 24v available To your question, you will need up to 1000 watts panel to charge you batteries with 5-6 hours sun. |

econome: Bro, its a simple formular u need to apply. since u are operating on 24v. it means the 2batteries remains 165ah. to charge anything, u need to multiply the battery ah by 2.5. if u buy 200w panel it's majorly 24v and thus at least 2 of 200w panel connected in parallel should charge ur 165ah battery |

Thanks, I already got two 150w, make I deh manage am till will get another two 150w.. I understand that 300w panel is poor, even the 600w panel will not fully charge it for 5 sun hour, but make e deh charge above %50 is my priority.. When I deh use NEPA charge, %100 charge would last for 3 days.. So there is no need for %100 charge as fas say sun go shine next day.. I am not a heavy user though. What's your best price for MONO 150W & 200W? zuraking: 1 Like |

bishop4life: That number (2) is "NTC thermistor" not thyristor, NTC thermistor is a negative thermistor. How it works, it allows current to pass through it with increase in temperature, this made it a temperature sensor. But thyristor is like a switch with 3 terminals, it turns on when applied gate voltage. Though, gate voltage do not have control over the thyristor again once it's on. 1 Like |

econome: that your charger is based on "switched-mode power supply"(smps) technology. they use ferrite core instead of transformers. at times they are called transformerless. sadly, the major advantage of this technology is there light-weight, but they are not as superb as their predecessor, "the conventional transformer". the applications of "SMPS" technology in recent decades are in DVD power park, laptop chargers, some inverters etc. if he can repair your charger, he is a wizard and can also repair DVD power park or energy saving bulbs. give him a try. 1 Like |

econome: What that means is that, trying to troubleshoot "SMPS" will be like trying to squeeze water from a Stone. Not that possible in Africa. The circuit from Jumia will definitely outlast your SMPS |

[quote author=ikennaj44 post=78522876] What that means is that, trying to troubleshoot "SMPS" will be like trying to squeeze water from a Stone. Not that possible in Africa. THAT'S NOT TRUE. I can repair switch mode power supply verywell. I have big experience with them, over the years. I have repaired laptop chargers, dvd power supplies, mobile chargers. I have even designed smps 12v to 220v dc which I use to charge laptop, phones. powers bulb and soldering iron. so I can repair it or I buy it from you @econome. that one you got from jumia will still need an external supply. maybe from rectified transformer. meanwhile I'm a graduate of EEE. 2018 Electronics is my hobby 4 Likes

The extremely powerful, compact AGM batteries of the Sprinter XP series are an ideal energy source for uninterrupted power supply and are particularly good in UPS applications and other security systems. GNB’s experience and innovation with VRLA technology makes Sprinter batteries the preferred choice for high rate emergency battery backup. These 12V 92.8ah Portuguese-made batteries are unlike the normal VRLA batteries manufactured in China with very short life span which are all over the market. They have very little discharge rate and can compete favorably with some 200ah battery models when it comes to durability! They can be used as uninterrupted power supply or charged using solar panels! > Excellent high current performance – optimized for short discharge time > Low self discharge rate – extended storage capability > Very short recharge time – high availability > Optimal power density – saves floor space > Completely recyclable – low CO2 footprint Specifications: > Maintenance-free (no topping up) during the whole service life > High-Compression Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology > Power (15 minutes) from 600 – 2350 watt > Design life: »10-12 Years – High Performance« according to EUROBAT classification PRICE: N45,000 See my signature or profile for number to call... Valto: For his battery capacity (2 units of 100ah), what capacity of solar panels and chargw controllers should he have used? Mine is a 100ah and i am considering something along that line. My major fear is mistakenly buying a modified sinewave UPS again, even though i now use a DC rechargeable fan. Does MSW UPs have adverse effects on TVs and sound systems? Pls advise |

I just remembered that i have 2 units of this bluegate UPS. This particular one was opened last year to change the battery. Does this qualify as a the 1500VA variant? Is it 24v or 12v? I am guessing i would have to use two batteries with it if it is 24v, right? Is it pure or modified sinewave? Does it come with an inbuilt fan?
