As a fellow northerner i know that Ahmad lawan is just seeking for Tinubu's backing for his personal ambition. Tinubu has been d choice of femi gbaja or ahmad lawan bcoz he can't have both and we knw gbaja will never be dropped. This is a wrong move for lawan bcoz we will axe him for betrayal.
The only thing north will consider in 2023 is religion and ethnicity. If pdp fields a norther, they will beat apc hands down!
wishing u understood dt d Ahmed lawan in dx particular news is not lawan in the res chamber aimin fr the Senate president seat

Your vote is not needed

Without you, Abiola won the election
Without you, Yaradua won
Without you, Buhari won X 2

With you, GEJ was kicked out
With you, Atiku lost

I don't understand why you think you matter?

This is the kind of self delusion that has rendered you useless in the Nigerian affair.
Anambra voted very well for Abiola, so it wasn't really without us that he won in 1993. Even my home town voted for him then.
Obasanjo won in 1999 without the support of the South West. He wasn't SW candidate, even though he's Yoruba.
With us (and without core North), Jonathan won in 2011.
With us (and without core North), Yar'Adua won in 2007.
Buhari is the first president that didn't need our votes to win.

Shigo Okeshuku, your tears have just started.
You are just warming up to cry blood.

You are asking what the SW hopes to achieve by 2023?

By 2023, we'll have our
free trade zone in Lagos,
A brand new deep seaport in lekki,
A brand new Refinery in lekki,
Upcoming airport in lekki,
Coastal road from Ondo through ijebu to Lagos,
Brand new energy city in Ogun,
New industrial hub in shagamu interchange.

Mention a single thing your hopeless leaders in your backwards region would have achieved by 2099.

You call the North unproductive but the last time they refused selling food to your father, kwashiokor wiped out your ancestors.
afnja,of what benefit is the ports at tin can and apapa to you and your ancestors?
The only people who are federal government workers @ those ports are mallams.

The only yorubas you see there are dock workers who have no bearing, who don't belong to any useful or meaningful company.
Theirs is to work for peanuts, carrying bags of rice and wheat and gbogbue from ship for peanuts.
They are so good they can carry 5 bags of cement on their heads grin

Whenever my ship Beth's @ pwa or bop nnpc jetty
@apapa,they come onboard as watchmen. They don't look good one bit. All they do onboard is gather empty Eva water bottles to use to beg for fuel.
Talking about coastal road,I bet your arsse apapa coastal road is world class LOLs.

I joined ship in Togo some time ago and I traveled by road from mile2 to Lome.

Mohammodu my dear Yoruba Muslim brother, you try to hide you pain but fail. We Yoruba Muslims have accepted that we conquered by rag tag Fulani herders who killed our Oba Afonja and put an emirate in yorubaland, conversely the Igbos lost the war to the combined firepower of the British, Russian, Egyptian and Arab military. They lost gallantly without having their leaders beheaded like Oba afonja. There is no emirate on their land like we Yoruba.

Truth is bitter. grin

Abdulazeez99:
Organising Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Ahmad Lawan, has declared that the South-West zone will produce the next president on the platform of the party in 2023.

Igbere TV reports that Lawan, who is currently vying for the vacant position of National Secretary of the APC, promised to canvass for the region to produce the next president during his campaigns.

He claimed that the zone had sacrificed enough for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, hence, should be compensated with the ticket.

Igbere TV reports that Lawan made the remarks over the weekend during an interactive session with newsmen in Yola, the Adamawa state capital.

His words: “APC’s 2023 presidential ticket belongs to the South-West and every APC member interested in the progress of the country should work towards making it a reality.

“In 2015 general elections, the South-West shelved its interest for the North and its candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, and did the same thing in the 2019 general elections. That is a friendship and partnership that the north must maintain and a kindness that must be repaid.”

Lamenting the defeat suffered by the APC in Adamawa state and other parts of the North in the February 23 presidential election, Lawan said: “It should even be considered an inordinate ambition for any Northerner to attempt to contest for the presidential ticket of the party in 2023 against candidates from South-West in view of the immense sacrifice they made for the progress of the country.”

He maintained that APC has a stronger chance of retaining power in 2023, if it fields a South-West candidate.

Regardless, the SE did not vote for Abiola.

Who cares where the next president comes from? Certainly not progressive and serious minded individuals.

But since Nigeria has decided to be the joke of the world, let's give another illiterate babalawo who doesn't give a damn about the welfare of common Nigerians.

It is 2019 and some senseless fools who aren't promised tomorrow are thinking of 2023 already because of selfish interest. I don't know why Nigerians who I thought were wise cannot see beyond these shenanigans.

We have oil, and we have people who can turn oil into jobs, money, comfort, peace and progress. But we give those who turn natural resources into personal resources, poverty, unemployment, injustice and annihilation of the youth.

Nigerians, open your okpolo eyes. If we waste anymore time in electing ambitious leaders, we postpone our emancipation. And remember it takes at least 20years of sustained development to get to the place of our dreams. wink
Bro the truth is I don't see Nigeria going anywhere fast. We are still going to always vote along ethnic and religious lines. Also lack of education among a large percentage of the voting population will see that things are manipulated using propaganda. The few educated people who are objective don't go out to vote. The only way out of this mess is to have a high population of educated voters and looking at the North you will see that we have e a long way to go

lol , you heard it from them, abi the man is an afonja ? Southeast this is your time to show you are not PDP fulani/Asari slaves that hides behind north and southsouth... Insist on PDP ticket and lets slug it out

Igbos are ethnic Majority with 40 million citizens, same as Yoruba 40 million and mixed huasa/ fulani 30 million the rest of the 70 million people are ethinc minority of over 200 tribes, yet its been 50 years since you produced a president and he had a prime minister, and 35 years without Vice, No military head of state after ironsi and No military second in command.

when you keep asking what other regions gain from Presidency or national powers,

*Remember north now have a river port and a land port, yet no functional one in the east, even Enugu Airport as now been shutdown

*Southwest now has Dangote Refinery, North has kaduna refinery and Katsina is comming pretty soon, SouthSouth has Refinery in Delta and Rivers, SouthEast has non.

have u take ur time to access the level of poverty in the regions? Whether they take all no problem. BOKOHARAM will not kill us, Fulani militias will not kill us, almajiri will not litter our street. We don't rely on to survive.

well last time i checked Nigerias poverty index by state, SouthWest is doing just fine, and GDP per state we aint lacking .. even talk about IGR from our non oil Southwest Economy excluding lagos we are still doing fine... and if anybody flocks in from other region we have menial jobs for them to survive on, or they can go into trades or okada riding till they can get their bearing

Ipob miscreants will come here with hate now, they forget politics is about give and take not their stupid entitlement mentality. This is not the first time yoruba people will step down for presidency of another region, we did in the 2011 with Jonathan when northern cabals wanted to get rid of him after yaradua died yoruba elders stood by him and protested on his behalf only for him to become president and fvck up. Even if northerners fvck up in 2023 there's always another way.
Perfectly correct. I knew it that a northern will take over from Buhari come 2023 but from PDP.

But bros don't you think your region is greedy.

Abiola won 48.3% of South East votes and you're talking rubbish. If the South East voted for Tofa the way they voted for Atiku, Abiola wouldn't have smelled the victory.

Buhari won because of Northern votes and not your insignificant 53%. Even if you gave 90% of your votes to Atiku, Buhari would still have won.
Your votes were worth nothing!

A whole ⅓ of the South West states and 47% of South West voters voted for PDP and you're here talking rubbish! Go ahead and deny your tribesmen cos you want to prove a point that doesn't exist.

Ipob pig, you are asking what the benefit is the port for but your fathers who I assume are more sensible than you (I may be wrong) are begging everyone for a seaport.

You foolishly call Yorubas labourers on ships but the larges indigenous shipowners are Yorubas. Ever heard of Isaac Jolapamo, Harry Akande and others?

Guy, when I say that your children are at best going to end up as our slaves, I'm not bragging, it's the fact. We have the structures on ground.
