The final episode of "Game of Thrones" brought in a series record of 19.3 million viewers.

The finale, titled "The Iron Throne," broke the record set by last weekend's episode, "The Bells," for which 18.4 million viewers tuned in.


The viewership for "The Iron Throne" includes 13.6 million people who watched the episode on HBO at 9 p.m. Sunday night, making it the most-watched telecast in the network's history, according to HBO.


The rest were viewers who watched an encore presentation, or who streamed the show with the HBO Go or HBO Now apps.

Despite being off the air for three months longer than the usual one-year gap between seasons, it seems that the show has lost none of its momentum.


Looking back, it’s remarkable how the viewership of Game of Thrones has grown over the past seven years.


The pilot episode, which aired in April 2011, brought in a comparatively tiny 2.22 million viewers. Wikipedia’s Game of Thrones episode page helpfully charts how that fan base has ballooned from year to year.

90% are not happy that the show ended. Cuz they won't be seeing the good show again.

Just 10% are not happy about the ending storyline...

But everyone is attacking the writers for a poor ending instead stating they want the series to continue.

Best way to achieve this, let Cercie and Jemy escape as planned by Tyrion, they get new army and followers. By then Dany would have lost the people's support because of her action.

The Movie is so overhyped....

We know the kind of youths we have in the country when a thread of Games of thrones gets very high comments and views than a thread on anything Nollywood!

It made sense all through.
It's sad it came to an end. For 6years i have been on dis show.
The greatest show in the world.

It's worth the hype, no one was perfect in the movie.
It was unpredictable.
Arya stark happily headed to the west as a loner she has always been.
Sansa queen in the north as she has always wanted although i never for once liked her.
Bran Stark, the 3 eyed raven ruler of the 6kingdoms although he never contributed much.
John snow back to the real North and a leader there.
I felt sorry for Dany although so many would have been executed if she wasn't killed by Aegon Targaryen, infact Arya Stark would have attempted to kill her. Arya hates nonsense

I just dey vex. Annoying season 8 and an infuriating final episode.

A beautiful story ruined by rush rush. Even nolywood would do better

They just suddenly rushed Dany to be mad.

So the Snow killed Dany and the unsullied and dothraki just keep quiet

How can Tyrion standing trial be choosing King at the same time?

How could Brienne that they give title yesterday qualify to be in that meeting?

How come was dothraki there also when they said they killed ALL in the long night war at winterfell?

Then the choice of Bran.... So ordinary!

How could the Starks say they don't wanna be part of the Seven kingdoms yet a stark is ruling the Seven Kingdom.

Even tales by moonlight writers will do a better job

No spoilers o or else....

They killed the story with bad writing terrible ending.
