Good morning guys,I recently purchased a vehicle to be used personally.Contacted an officer to get my driving license done and he told me It will take 3 moths to get it but I could be driving with a clearance note, pending to when I come for capturing and getting the main card.
My question is,can I register on any of the services(Uber/taxify) with the clearance note while waiting for the original?
3 months is a long time.I would appreciate any helpful information.
Gracias.
no sir...I tried that too some months ago,it's two months not three months..I just got mine last week..the two months is to process the driving school certificate, then it will be sent to Abuja for clearance. You just have to get your temporary before you engaged into any fleet platform

You can hardly get tokunbo of just 7 months in naija, they would almost sell that as brand new and a corolla 2018 is not about 14-15million

Nigerian's let stop deceiving others and tell them the Truth.
I am an Uber and Taxify driver. I owe my ride and I driver by myself at my free period.
Let's get it straight.
These companies are just making huge amount of money for themselves without considering the drivers, they only care about the rider.

Now let's analyse these points:

Let share it, uber takes 150, driver takes 450(fuel, maintenance, car owners money, pocket money and your feeding included).

2. Considering Lagos Traffic still these companies make fares look very miserable at the end of a journey.
E.g. A trip from Ojuelegba to Lasu from was calculated to be 2,600 although there was no Traffic but the road is terrible. Before I ended the ride the lady was like "I hope it won't exceed 5,000" in my mind I smiled because I was expecting to see more than 5k. Funny enough I saw 2,600 with my mortuary standard AC and fuel, I was MAD. Can you believe that on my way coming back there was no order going back to Surulere from that zone I had to run empty and was in a traffic for almost 2hrs and I got to my office by 10:14am. This is ridiculous I said, I laid a complaint and they told me that the fare was calculated appropriately. Ok I chill.

A normal Taxi will consider a lot of things into factor before taking you to that place:
A. Distance
B. Traffic
C. Chances of not getting a rider back
D. Fuel
E. Stress
F. Vehicle maintenance. Etc
G. Don't forget oh! He is not putting Ac for you.

Driving is strictly a mental stress job, in doing mental stress work you age quickly and that is while 96% of drivers in this country grow white hairs quickly. It's not as a result of age it's the mental stress attached to it.

3. Drivers account for 35k-40k a week to the car owners. I want to ask, all these non-calculating drivers that accept such deals, is it the same business they are doing with it or are they running inter-state because that is better.

A lot of these guys don't seem to have much responsibility, most of them live in someone's house and pay no rent and they take care of themselves alone. Please you should think twice let's work something out.

Maximum you can make a week after all the hard work if you follow Uber and Bolt rules is 35-40k per week after expenses, you pay car owners 35k you are left with 5k. Hmmmmm! how can you rely on <10k per week for a mentally drained job like driving?

4. A typical nigeria don't read T/C before accepting, I accepted anyways but I am seriously complaining to them but believe me a lot of people are ready to accept even if it kills them. So the company feels reluctant about my complaints.

5. Friday, Saturdays and Sundays, are peak periods Yes I agree. My people don't consider a lot of factors, car repairs likewise maintenance are very expensive. Your stress, your life span?

Americans understood these fact which I know that our own conditions are far worst than theirs and they still went on strike. My brother if we strike for 1 month alone, these guys will be greatly affected and think twice.

You see people who drink Don Simon are executive people. God have already bless you with a car and a good job. Rent your car to a reasonable people and start entering danfo and you get ur 35k weekly,

The reason you have to accept a trip to lasu, is because you are mugu in the job, as for the insult, is part of the job.. Just accept it by blowing kiss to those girls.

You will meet 95% of nice riders, only 5% are complainant like classicdonsimon

The car should not be having shaft issues at all . Especially if it is tokunbo.. My 2003 civic that I sold recently ,never had shaft or leg issue at all .. And the car was on uber for more than two years ... maybe corolla are not strong as what people make it to be ..

The car is not meant for HP or rentals, it was meant to be used as a private car.
The Civic you quoted is rugged with good fuel economy but poor resale value.

Well I don't know much about that o .depending on your landing cost. If my resale of a car is almost 50% of my landing cost, than am happy with that.. Anybody buying naija use corolla, camry 03 to 06 more than 1 million naira needs to have their head check o .. Naija used cars to me are badly maintain and resale value of those cars are all hype.. Now naija luxury car resale value is another topic on its own ..left to me I can't go near them ..but not everybody that can buy tokunbo or brand new cars.. But people buying naija used cars need to shine their eyes very well

You always regale us with stories of Uber profitability, and your weekly savings, little did we know that you also eat up the weekly remittance of the partner. The truth always has a way of coming out.

Your type can't take care of any car entrusted to you, and will not think twice before driving through flooded areas, as long as you meet your target, after all, the patner makes 5k daily and you can call on him for repair.

This thread has seen a good number of scumbags and morally branckupt lepers like you. You will always go the way of others

It would be better if you and the rider agreed fare ahead of trip.

I have an app that does that.

I can register you if you contact me on WhatsApp 08085404500. Introduce yourself properly so that I can attend to you properly too. Don't just type "Hi" and expect me to respond. Too busy for that kind of slow back and forth please.

The app works already but expect Bonanza when it officially launches in Lagos soon.

I am really trying to hekp a new generation if drivers. Up to you if you want to be one of them. This doesn't disturb your Uber and Bolt/Taxify too.

99% of the ladies who ride uber/taxify are danfo people who have never owned a car in their lives. You can deduce this from the way they slam the door getting in and out, yet they still talk down at uber drivers as if they are relating with their domestic staff. The olosho among them are the worst cheesy

You see wickedness and evil in high places. Na to buy your car finally, after killing this one, while eating up the rentals you paid to him.

Those Aba business men you are condemning are 80% better than you at the moment. U are settling for a life of 3k per day which is a good one but the wickedness of using the car anyhow and calling the man to fix up shows a great deal of wickedness.when you buy your own you will understand. Why are you living an ordinary life when you can honestly work hard and live an extraordinary one?

Tyche:

You have revealed yourself as a low-life scum, with moral scruples worse than that of a gutter dwelling piq.

My point exactly. You have said it all. Life of 3k per day really a low life scum. How much food will you eat, what will you take home. Shame to many of you that are supporting these trash of 3k per day. Your mates are upgrading seriously while you are busy running Rat race.
