For those in ABUJA who already got PR visa and COPR and wish to buy some winter coats/jacket/gloves/beanie /thermal wears and or sweater before leaving, you can get from Onyema in Wuse Market 0803 450 1632. He has extremely neat things. |

Madam continue with the process, while doing it keep praying earnestly to God to touch his heart (after all the hearts of kings are in His hands). Write IELTS, evaluate your degree and his, keep being proactive and have absolute faith in God to bring the desires of your heart to reality. Your husband won't be the first or the last husband who started off kicking against the idea and later catches the Canny bug. Good luck to you and may God's perfect will be done. Rence22: |

johnnybravo1990:Guess you missed the part where I said ‘carry your husband along every step of the way. Let him know you can’t do anything without his permission’ My suggestion is based on the assumption that when Oga sees ITA/BIL/PPR, he will have a change of mind. It’s better to have ur PPR and say you are not going than to wonder ‘what if’. From most experiences shared, na fear of the unknown abeg. |

WES is gradually becoming slow. You need to call them if not they will forget you. They have received my wife's credentials since 3 weeks now. I have been begging them to send verification to her school all to no avail. So if you can call to ascertain how long you should wait, please do. Oge adiro. (Time no dey) Ologunsunny: |

Good day, please how can an error in attestation of birth be corrected? As an example, Mr A hopes to claim sibling points from Mrs B but while Mrs B was filling her application for attestation of birth she stated she was from Lekki Phase 1 and stated her LGA as Epe (which is clearly incorrect) ,Mr A is about to do his attestation of birth and is going to state he is from Lekki Phase 1 and the LGA is Eti-Osa (the correct info). Will this complicate the PR application? Can the initial error be corrected? What steps can be taken to correct it? Thanks. |

Will this complicate the PR application? I'm not sure. It seems a minor thing. Can the initial error be corrected? You might need to go to a NPC office. What steps can be taken to correct it? Refer to above. rhemagrace: |

I doubt the statement alone with suffice. You will need to include a LOE explaining that you have access to the 25% and include a link to the law on the web. Something like this: "The balance in my Pension account as at 23rd May, 2019 is N4,000,000. 25% of this amount which is N1,000,000 will be accessible to me within 4 months of resignation. I will have to resign my employment for the purpose of relocating to Canada to take up my Permanent Residency. Part III, Section 7 – (2) of the Nigerian Pension Reform Act 2014 authorizes this: ' Where an employee voluntarily retires, disengages or is disengaged from employment as provided for under section 16·(2) and (5) of this Act, the employee may with the approval of the Commission, withdraw an amount of money not exceeding 25 per cent of the total amount credited to his retirement savings account, provided that such withdrawals shall only be made after four months of such retirement or cessation of employment and the employee does not secure another employment.' Please refer to the link below to access the Pension Reform Act 2014 (http://lawnigeria.com/LawsoftheFederation/Pension-Reform-Act,-2011-%28Repeal-and-Re-enactment%29-Act,-2014.html)." You can use any other web link in place of this one if you choose. onyexx: |

[quote author=ceyrahtlk post=78615081]THE STORY SO FAR Hey guys! It has been a long while since I visited this thread (or is it called trend?), and today, I felt I should share what has been going on at my end with the hope of encouraging someone. So, when I started this journey November, I was so excited, and I felt passing IELTS and getting ITA was going to be a breeze until IELTS 'jammed me'. My first attempt was January 19, and I was so sure of getting nothing less than 8 in writing, but, alas, I had L-9, R-8.5, W-6.5, S-7, and I didn't even stop there because I asked for EOR, but it came back unchanged. However, I didn't give up, and I booked the next available date, April 9th, and the test was computer delivered, and yay! I passed! L-9, R-9, W-7, S-7, but it did not end there, and in fact, that is where my story begins because I asked for EOR again. Actually, at this point, my score was 444, and I had been hoping to at least get 450. You see, after my first attempt, I came to this forum for assistance, and I joined Wasseynewest's writing group to familiarise myself with the essay structures, @bunmioluwa also introduced me to writeandimprove.com, a wonderful site for IELTS. Furthermore, I downloaded Grammarly app on my laptop, from the Microsoft store, and that made me realise some of my writing mistakes, and I worked on these by watching some youtube videos. When I started practising with writeandimprove.com, my score was 6.5, but, before the test, I was consistently getting 8, sometimes 8.5, under examination conditions. So, that prompted me to ask for a remark when my results came out because I badly needed 3 extra points at least. Fortunately, as God would have it, I got 6 points extra because I received my EOR report today. L-9, R-9, W-7.5, S-8. Halleluyah somebody! I guess what I am trying to say is that you should seek assistance when you need it because in this journey, being full of yourself isn't going to help you one bit, and secondly, even if you 'pass' the test, and you need extra points, consider asking for a remark first before rewriting the test. You might be surprised! Thank you @wasseynewest @bunmioluwa and every other person that dropped one tip or the other when I needed it most. I wish you all the best. I tap into this testimony o. I got 9, 8.5, 7, 7.5. I requested EOR just yesterday for writing and speaking. A 7.5 in writing will land me a 450. Congrats and The Lord who did yours will perfect mine. |
