Mizwisdom:other countries punish their scammers and there are safeguard rules wen doing online businesses in other countries but in nigeria its a different case entirely. We glorify fraudsters and there are no safeguard rules online in naija wen doin business. In nigeria its anything goes and all up for grabs. Hope u know it was because of the high scams in nigeria that paypal stopped ppl from recieving payments in nigeria thru their medium. If u are in nigeria and u want to use paypal u can pay thru it but if someone wants to send u money thru paypal to nigeria its not possible anymore cos of d high activities of scammers. We should jus say it d way it is and leave sentiments aside. |

I was scammed by a lady named Favour Samuel, this is the name she uses in all her social media accounts. She claimed that if you invest money in her agric products, you would be paid 15% returns in every 3 months till 1 year when the money would expire then the full money invested would be paid back to you. I invested N300k in the Agric investment which is soya beans seeds, 3 months passed, no word, up till now, she is not picking our calls again. She is still tweeting and luring people through her LinkedIn page, with same method. Note: Agreement was dully signed between us. Pls, beware of Favour Samuel..Itoro Farms, on Fbk, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. |

martineverest:its not all scams dat involve greed my guy. U might be intending to genuinly travel out of d country and some posing as a travel agent might link u up for visa appplication. U could get scammed thru dat cos there are fake travelling agents all over naija. U might be looking for a job and someone will request yu pay 20k to get d job. At d end of d day u might find out dat d company does not exist. Wat of some ppl here on nairaland who sell fake data. U might out if ignorance send money to buy d data and after d person recieves it he blocks u . Or u want to apply for any foreign school overseas and someones claims he's an agent and he collects ur documents and ur money and disappears. Various formats boku for ground and its just for u to be extravigilant. Make sure d person u dealing with u very very familiar with him or her. |

In 2004, The guy showed me a text he got from MTN how he won about a million naira and having been dat he don't have access to d internet, he begged me to fill d form for him online. During d form processing it got to a point his bank acct details is needed where d money he won will be credited to. So i used mine since he don't have any bank acct. They asked for my ATM card details which i gave to dem including my pin number. Just abt 10mins later my acct was frozen. And i felt like a dead man. |

lefulefu:Only scammers glorify themselves, people have been calling them out, EFCC & police have been arresting them, SARS too. Paypal is restricting us because some people like you will keep exaggerating things even online where they have free access to information |
