Do you mean if you accept Bremen’s offer (for visa) and pay student contribution but choose another school later in case of a better option, you will be refunded
yes but why do that why not wait and see if you will have better offer before paying

Please have you gotten any feedback from them? All I got after submitting my application is that "You meet the admission criteria for this course"

have not heard from them yet. all i see is application sent by post but have not been fully checked. i applied since April 15th, the day the portal was opened for application.
what course did you apply for and when?

I got your pm but let me share it here for the benefit of others:
- Memrise, it's just like Duolingo but they teach you actual useful phrases and you get to hear real live speakers unlike the robotic voice in Duolingo
- For memorising vocabulary, there is this app on PlayStore 'German Words' its really amazing. It's like a flashcard app plus it teaches you nouns and verbs. ( According to the Goethe Institute, to be at A1 level, you need to know between 600-1200 words so memorising vocabulary is very important!)
- Youtube: German with Jenny
- There's a workbook someone shared on this thread ( search the thread) its really good for practising reading and writing, especially if you plan on writing the Goethe exams
- DE-EN dictionary
-Busuu app
- If you have money, there is a course on Udemy, it's like 4k, the teacher is really good but she focuses more on grammar rules and sentence structuring. I was struggling with the grammatical cases but after that course, all my confusion was cleared
- There's this children book (I'll put the name when I find it). Generally children storybook ( written in German) is very good for learning because it's written in simple language.
- dw.com
- Practise, Practise, Practise!!! There are four dynamics in language learning: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening so practice all four ( though I heard Germans speak really fast so your listening won't be perfected until you get there).
That's all I remember for now, I'll update if necessary.
Danke.

I really have to share.these.info
I have a friend in Germany who is expecting me but due to the delay,he already feed up with Nigeria style and he told me that student visa interview takes only 48 hours for processing, and also quote that if they give you your visa at the alien office here in Nigeria that, the embassy in Nigeria deliberately delay issuing ones visa, before you know it your extension letter is due and they will be speaking rubbish to call the school to get another one.
Why am I saying these?
The professor in my school, chatted me up on whatsapp and was worried why my visa has been given to me since 29 of April...,I had to tell him is the Nigeria system
What are you thoughts about these?
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by cliper230(m): 6:39pm On May 22, 2019
Why don't you convert it to ms word and edit from there and after editing it you will convert to back to pdf

MidEastPrince:

1. You can certify you document at the German embassy in Lagos. You’d need to book an appointment on their website beforehand. You can also certify at any High court around you. So just ask around.

2. Yes, you can attend your interview if you don’t have the necessary funds in your BA. However, you should endeavor to fund some weeks after your interview. Also, it is mostly advisable to have funded your account before the interview! If this has an effect on AM and procession duration hasn’t been comprehensively verified.

Unfortunately, the BA, SL or scholarship are the 3 ways you can get a study visa at any German Embassy. There is no other way.

3. Both are the same! Uniassist would verify your documents and send your info to the school for assessment. While applying to the school directly has the edge! This is because most German universities don’t charge handling fee before considering your application.

All the best.smiley

Thanks alot....i know the full meaning of BA, SL, AL. But there are some other abbreviations that i don't know...Like AM and others. Please can you throw more light on this....thanks

Please people:

Which schools still have their applications on? I am particularly looking for those with chemistry-related courses and that accept EPL, online application and maybe mailing of documents. No Uni-assist!

Thanks.

Good evening house, please this is a screenshot from the application form of uni Freiberg, from this there is no need to attach passport data page hence I didn't, but later on someone told me to check their site and lo and behold it was listed their,I have long sent my docs to them and they have received it,I am confused whether to just mail a copy to the program coordinator or just leave it since they didn't send me a mail saying anything was missing, and I want to know if this can affect my application badly.

The application form need not to be filled since it has the details you entered during the online application. Just print out the form, sign it and send it back to them by courier.

have booked appointment for notarization of my documents and I was given 3rd of June 8-8:30am and that I should be there earlier with my appointment printout as it was sent to me for entrance into the Embassy.

One of my application via Uni Assist have passed the deadline on the 15th of May and is because delay I encountered during my trasnscript collection...should I go ahead and submit the documents when sending the notarized copies to Uni Assist?

How long does notarization take?

Thanks for ya candid advise in advance guys

I wanted to ignore this post actually! But I shouldn’t because you posted something that is not only untrue but is not based on any fact!

We should do better than peddling this sort of nonsense talk!

This is May...and this period runs till October (even November in some cases)

Oga caregiver, please come here with factual statements! We don’t need that negativity!

All the best! smiley

Why not use Federal High Court so as to meet up with the deadline. 2 sets of (7 documents each) is just #350 here in Abeokuta.

Or did the school you are applying to make it compulsory to use Embassy certification
