I tell you or a workaholic player running round the pitch with no end result

sure likewise the effort of a tap in merchants....still being recorded as goals.
I see a tap in merchant as players with good positioning...players who learn to be at the right place at the right time.

Vanzekin retired a long time ago.

Vanzekin stopped professional football to acquire a degree in Engineering. Stop saying what you do not know, he would have had a wonderful career, top GK. Still way below 37 as at now, way below.

I read that same report about going back to school but he didn't... He lives in kaduna now and shuttles between kaduna and Edo.. I know that he does a lot of betting now. These are from sources close to him by the way.

Clap, clap, clap for Victor Osimehen

This a Striker. Not that waste of Ighalo.

Victor has the height, Posture and Agility of a complete striker. Only one person he reminds me of is Rashidi Yekini of blessed Memory

I have always known this boy to be a Goal poacher right from his U17 world Cup days when he was scoring goals for fun

God please i pray, whatsoever be the hindrance or stumbling blocks that have prevented our starlets from transfering their age group talent into SE, die by fire in Jesus name. You will never see osimehen career to kill in Jesus name. Osimehen you are covered by the blood of Jesus.

That was how Moses was frustrated out of the National team despite all he singlehandedly did.

As if Iheanacho has been locked out of the Leicester Training camp. undecided

And you talk as though he does not get game time at all

Don't make me laugh please!!!

If all it requires for one to make the squad is training consistently and getting few minutes of actions here and there while relying on past exploits then we're encouraging mediocrity.

Nacho needs a drives to push high up there, rewarding his mediocre performances with a position in the squad is by all definitions counterproductive.

Race For 'Nigerian Golden Shoe' : Osimhen Is The Man To Beat (Top Six Players)
Victor Osimhen bagged a brace for Sporting Charleroi in their 2-1 road win against Kortrijk at the Guldensporenstadion on Wednesday evening, cancelling out Imoh Ezekiel's opener in the first half before netting the game-winner nine minutes after the restart.

Following his brace in what could be his final game as a Sporting Charleroi player, the Wolfsburg loanee took his tally for the season to 18 goals from 33 appearances, and is the highest rated Nigerian player in the European Golden Shoe rankings with 27 points.

Osimhen has scored one goal more than FC Midtjylland's Paul Onuachu, who is the second highest rated Nigerian player with 25.5 points.

The Danish-based striker has one final chance to overtake Osimhen in the Golden Shoe rankings, on Sunday when the 2018 champions host Esbjerg.

Osimhen and Onuachu are followed by Galatasaray's Henry Onyekuru and FC Luzern's Blessing Eleke who have sent the ball into the back of the net 14 and 13 times respectively this season.

Though Galatasaray and Luzern have one more game to play in their respective leagues, it is mission impossible for the duo in their bid to surpass Osimhen's goal tally.

Trabzonspor's Anthony Nwakaeme and FC Zurich's Stephen Odey are joint fifth with 22.5 points, having scored ten goals each.

European Golden Shoe Rankings (Nigerian Players Only)

1) Victor Osimhen - 18 goals - 27 points
2) Paul Onuachu - 17 goals - 25.5 points
3) Henry Onyekuru - 14 goals - 21 points
4) Blessing Eleke - 13 goals - 19.5 points
5) Anthony Nwakaeme - 10 goals - 15 points
Stephen Odey - 10 goals - 15 points

That guy is supposed to be just 34 at the most but he has retired for years now.

And he is a goalie.

He plays for a club in Benin City, they participated in the State FA Cup games and won, but later lost to Bendel Insurance for Nationals.

He's still playing, but he's far from a top professional

I was told he still plays "novelty games". I guess that is around the level, he is now.

So what will you say of Leon Balogun?

Leon has proven himself over time and with the experience that comes with his age sure gives him an edge.

That said, I won't risk him in the starting lineup, if I were to be the coach. You can't deny the fact that Leon takes little time to get his rythym on the pitch. You play against a team with a good striker, you get punished before you blink.

But then, I'm talking Nacho not Balogun.
