And for our information, Nigeria has four billionaires on the 2019 forbes list while South Africa has 5 billionaires. In 2018 list they produced 8 billionaires but this year it has dropped to 5. Now if you analyse the 5 billionaires you will see that 4 of them are whites. Only Patrice is a black man. This tells us that Nigeria really tried to produce 4 black billionaires. LAGOS - An indigenous oil firm, Brittania-U Nigeria Limited, owned by a female oil magnate, Mrs. Uju Ifejika, has established crude oil export terminal in the Niger Delta.

A leader in Nigeria’s petroleum industry, Brittania-U is a major player in the upstream and downstream sectors and is investing at a time some companies are exiting the region following insurgencies.

The company, between December 21 and 26, 2016, lifted its first cargo of 129,000 barrels at it’s newly established Ajapa terminal.
The terminal began its operational life in a time when the country is facing a lot of operational challenges in the crude oil industry especially in the Niger Delta region.
Brittania-U has strong reserve base and proven track record of converting contingent resources to reserves.
She praised President Muhammadu Buhari for pushing the local content initiatives further. Ifejika said the oil firm built 10,000 barrels per day day Floating Production Storage and Offloading facility (FPSO) in it’s first year of being in Operation in 2009 at Houma Louisiana USA.
“The facility was built and delivered within seven and half months. Within the same period, the company procured its 78,000 barrels’ shuttle Tanker Barge for the delivery of its crude in its first crude contract – Chevron Nigeria Limited”.

It's something, so I won't deny you whatever feeling of euphoria it gives you. However, these people have been billionaires for several years now, and we've always known that they are billionaires. There's no new info provided by this list especially regarding Nigerian billionaires.

Having billionaires (in dollars) is only useful for ethnic bragging as we normally see on Nairaland. It doesn't necessarily have any impact on the lives of average citizens of the region, otherwise Dangote's North West wouldn't have been one of the 2 poorest geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
To appreciate it better, there's no South African or Egyptian on that list, yet they have far better economies than Nigeria and Zimbabwe that are both represented.
