@ missyblissy mine was emergency CS though, it was spinal they gave me and luckily I didn't have food in my bowels. Last meal was 8 am and the surgery was 7pm.
Since you're opting for elective na to avoid eating close to the time scheduled for it.

How did you cope from 8am to 7pm? This my baby wey like food pass anything. I wake up at night to eat else no sleep ooo na turning and kicking i go get till i eat. Eg i ate eba and soup around 9pm by 1:30am i was awake i had to eat bread and tea before i sleep oooo. Thanks mama!!!

Yeah, I consume pineapple during my pregnancy, and it made me contract around 28weeks. I had to stop it.

I was feeling bloated n it made me uncomfortable that period, everything just happened for my good o if not I usually wake to eat at night too

But you know our naija docs some can't be trusted. He knows am still in my first trimester and he administered diclofenac and ACT for me. Thank God I learn a lot from here. I didn't buy d drugs in the hospital, I went to a big pharmacy, where I was told some of the things he prescribed were not safe in first trimester.

But let me reconfirm from sabi mamas here is maxiquine +piriton and amoxyl safe in first trimester. Abeg mamas don't overlook

Spinal , it’s when it’s emergency they use full anaesthetia or when spinal doesn’t work .
As for food don’t worry you’ll not fall hungry ; the anxiety alone won’t allow hunger come but afterwards you’ll be looking for food and you can only drink water(very little quantity) for the first day , then they allowed me take pap close to 45- 48 hours after CS( because I slept after the surgery at 2pm and didn’t wake up until next morning)12 hours after pap I started eating rice but no appetite.
When they allowed me take water they told me very little quantity but I was too thirsty when the nurse wasn’t looking I gulped half the bottle and I suffered for it when I wanted to pee ( not an experience I like to remember, recovery was excruciating for the first few days)

Yes very importantly always see an O&G doctor and if it’s for fever malaria etc see a qualified and experienced doctor of general practice. A lot of times I feel as though I have malaria but I don’t have malaria after doing the quantitative and qualitative screening at the lab and these are times I’d have sworn it had to be malaria or nothing and I ended up not having malaria after checking. Sometimes the hospital will say I have malaria I just go straight to pathcare because I can’t be taking medications anyhow I trust only their results at least to a large extent and when I get there no malaria.

Pls mothers is it mist to push during contraction because my contraction seized my leg last tym I begged the nurse to wait small when the contraction subsided I pushed. Pls also is fundal pressing bad cos I begged them for it but they refused.
